Today is Celebrate Shelter Pets Day! The event was first held in 2010 and was a joint project organized by the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and Maddie’s Fund to raise awareness about the many amazing dogs and cats in shelters looking for families to join. Shelter pets deserve all of the love and support we can give them. If you are unable to adopt a pet, you can always contribute your time or a simple donation to your local animal shelter to show those fur babies just how much they mean to you. 🐕🐈💕
