It was a special day at the farm today, as our beloved rock star of a lesson pony, Sox, had his very last lesson! He celebrated his retirement, surrounded by a barn full of kids, with some carrot cake and a "Soxicle" (aka a carrot and apple popsicle.)
During the more than 30 years of his life, Sox has taught countless kids and adults not only how to ride, but how to fall in love with horses. Our go to guy for what ever we needed: a slow steady pony for all the tiniest riders to come for lessons, as well as anyone who ever needed a confidence boost or just a horse to help them through fears and anxieties; a fun and safe horse to learn to canter and jump on or to take to your first horse show and come home with all the best ribbons; an always reliable friend to hop on ba****ck and stroll down the trail. Sox never let any of his riders down, and especially never let us instructors down. You can always count on Sox.
We are so happy that he will now get to enjoy his retirement, grazing and galloping around the farm with his constant companions and fellow roamers, Suzie Q and Gizmo, and will continue to be spoiled rotten by all of us who love him so very much!

On Monday, this pretty girl hopped on a trailer in Pennsylvania and eight hours later, stepped quietly off at Legacy Farm. Little did she know she came with a big task ahead of her. To try her very best to fill some pretty big shoes of some of the most amazing school horses who have passed or retired in the last few years. Now named Liberty by her new bestie Cece, in honor of her arrival on a very sacred day for our country, she has settled right in and is already stealing hearts. We are hopeful she will carry on the legacy of those special equines who came before her and help teach another generation of kids with the patience and care that they did. Welcome home Liberty

Once again we will be offering our very popular Fall Farm Club. This fall we will be meeting on every other Tuesday afternoon (3:30-5:00), starting Sept 12 and ending November 21.

Congratulations Ellie!! It's hard to believe the little girl who wanted nothing more than to build forts on the trail and play in the manure pile is all grown up and graduated from High School. We are so proud of our "Barn Girl" for not only the accomplishments you have made as an Equestrian but for the awesome human you have grown into. ❤️

A friend has 3 Aussie / standard schnauzer puppies available (they are absolute cuties)
2 sweet boys and one female that needs a very structured home that will do agility or obedience with
They have started crate training and house training
Have had a ton of socialization with all ages
Exposed to cats as well
Everyone will go though an interview process

Legacy Farm located in Easthampton MA is looking for an animal care person to feed our herd on Saturday and Sunday evenings. We are hoping to find a dedicated person to come and join our team.
