Dozer needs a new home! See info from her rescuer (below). She said she is the sweetest dog she's ever met but she needs some training because she still acts like a puppy. "In May, we found a dog walking in the road who was dirty with a ragged collar on, no tags. Once we located the owner, we knew we had to take action with this dog. He was living in a small one room apartment that was incredibly dirty and not fit for anything to live in. He also mentioned that he didn’t want her anymore.

Upon taking her, we learned that she was about 2 years old and hadn’t had any sort of training. We were pregnant at the time, and have since had the baby and have had to separate Dozer from the baby as she is too energetic to be safe for him. She also hasn’t been potty trained and as much as we try to take her out regularly, she still goes in the house, making it unsanitary to be raising an infant in.
We also have another dog who, while they get along, Dozer is definitely a dominant dog and has a little issue with resource guarding people and toys, which intimidates our shy dog, who no longer comes up on the couch and is very aloof since we’ve brought Dozer into our family.

Dozer is not aggressive, and is in fact the sweetest dog I’ve ever met. It breaks my heart that we can’t keep her, I feel as though we have failed her because we can’t meet her energetic needs right now where we are in our life. We both work full time and what time we do have after work is dedicated to trying to raise an infant. I have very much fallen in love with this dog and would love to work with you on placing her in a loving home where they have time and patience for an older puppy who needs a little extra attention with her training, has time for extra play sessions, and who wants a cuddle pup to sleep with them at night."

Our adoptabull Petey really enjoyed the warm weather we had in the Northeast last week. He would love to sunbathe at his own forever home- could that be with you?

Petey is 3-4 yrs old. He's a sensitive dog who bonds strongly with his people. He could live with a calm laidback dog but would be just as happy to be a solo pet. We rescued him from where he was on their At Risk Emergency Placement List. He had been so stressed there but has really relaxed in his foster home. Last week this little man lost the only mom he has ever known and is desperately looking for a furever home or foster. Nino is about 5/8 years old. Is very affectionate, is a level 10 clinger and is great with dogs/cats. He may have a food allergy but does well with venison based food. He is currently in Brooklyn staying with people while arrangements are made. But he needs a safe place ASAP. Please share with those looking for a love bug.

Hi everyone. Since we started the MNF boxes later this year, we did not give ourselves sufficient time to sell enough boxes. We will be cancelling this season's MNF. If you would like your numbers transferred over to our $30 Triple Header Thanksgiving Boxes, just let us know and we can give you a box and issue a partial refund for the difference! Or if not, we can definitely refund you in full!

As a reminder, the Thanksgiving Boxes are $30 and you get 12 chances to win! The pay out for each of the three games is:

Nikko needs to get to the specialist to have his ears evaluated for likely double TECA surgery. The shelter is at capacity, and we need to find this sweet boy a foster so we can get his medical taken care of.

Nikko is a 9-year old, handsome chunky monkey, low riding bully. When we met Nikko he absolutely melted our hearts. Nikko has tested well with dogs and may be able to live with cats. He did very well on his behavioral exam and just wanted to sit in our lap and love us. We are in desperate need of a foster to get Nikko OUT of the SHELTER and INTO a loving foster HOME. Help needed STAT! Meet Nikko!

This handsome chunky monkey is a 9-year old, low riding bully. We met Nikko last week, and he absolutely melted our hearts. Islip has asked us to pull Nikko due to his ongoing medical needs – likely double TECA surgeries just like we thought for our sweet Islip Alum, Autumn.

Nikko has tested well with dogs and may be able to live with cats. He did very well on his behavioral exam and just wanted to sit in our lap and love us. We are in desperate need of a foster to get Nikko OUT of the SHELTER and INTO a loving foster HOME. If you are able to foster, or better yet, adopt, please contact us!!

4 dogs need to be rehomed due to impending eviction. The dogs are 8 months old. *Photos in this post are old * The owner says they're pit mix of Labrador and Cane Corso and 15-25 lbs (we think they might be bigger based on the breeds though). He owner said they have not had a lot of socialization.

Pixley is in urgent need of a new home in the New York area! This sweet, lovable pup has had quite a journey and now finds herself in need of a patient, caring environment where she can thrive.

Back in January, Pixley was facing a heartbreaking situation at Palm Beach Animal Care And Control in South Florida. She was scheduled to be euthanized, but a compassionate family from New York saw her story and stepped in to help. With the amazing support of the Three Stooges Rescue, Pixley was saved and transported to New York.

Unfortunately, despite her new family's best efforts, Pixley has not been getting along with their resident dog. They’ve tried everything, including professional training and muzzle training, but things have not improved. For everyone’s safety, Pixley is now staying temporarily at a family friend’s house where she is the only pet—but this is a short-term solution.

We urgently need to find a permanent home for Pixley!

Baja needs a new home! She was originally given to a group of college kids so she's used to busy households! She is about a year old. She hasn't been around young children or small animals so her behavior with them is unknown. Get a Bull has not met Baja but her owner sent us the following info on her:

"My son’s roommate left college midway through the year and never took his dog. (And won’t return calls) So my son did not want to abandon her and inherited her. She is a sweet girl. She follows some commands (sit, stay, down, etc). Loves pets and snuggles. She is used to an active home (4 college students in a house with constant foot traffic of friends). Has been around his friends big dogs with no issues.

When my son returned from college, he brought Baja with him. I have two small old dogs. When the dogs are outside the house, they are fine with each other. They go on walks, have jumped in the ocean together with no issues. When they are in our house together Baja does not want them near her. Because of this behavior we are keeping them separate, which is extremely difficult to do in such tight quarters. She has been with us a short time, and my son is leaving for the army soon. It will be impossible to care for these three dogs without my son.

We are hoping to have Baja fostered and adopted out. Please let me know if you could provide any assistance."

🚨🚨 Beyond Urgent!🚨🚨 Currently at Police Station!!

We just got a call from a woman who is at a police station with her dog and has no where to bring him. She called both Town of Hempstead and NYC ACC and neither has offered her help beyond telling her to contact small rescues like us! We do not have a physical shelter and cannot take Honesty because we have nowhere to put him. Please Share him for an immediate foster or rescue!

This woman has no car and no way to get Honesty back to her house. She had rehomed Honesty with someone who said he couldn't keep him anymore because he was going on vacation! He met the former owner at the Police Department on his way to said vacation! Now she has no where to bring him and no way to get him anywhere. Honesty is 1 yr old and has had no stability. He was given to this owner 3 months ago on the train because that person couldn't keep him!!!

Below is more info from the owner on the situation. She said he lived in an apartment in Queens and was fine.

"Hi Good Afternoon, I am a first time partial dog owner. I live in Staten Island, NY but travel all over the city. I share this responsibility with the love of my life. Three months ago my other half was given a beautiful pitlab mix boy dog by a woman on the train. He renamed him Honesty. He is now 12 months old. Due to emergency we can no longer keep Honesty. I'm currently finishing up as a college student to get my second degree and I'm living at home with my Mom & her fiance. Her fiance is severely allergic to pet dander. I have never been in this situation before and I'm sure of how to go about it. In the short time of knowing and taking care of our sweet Honesty, I have completely fallen in love with this dog. A strong bond has been formed within us.. I was trying to think of any solution possible but the only option now is surrendering him. Can you please help me with this matter? Or would you happen to know of any suggestions as well? I can't keep him past today."

Bam and Kobe need a new home. Their owner reached out because for the past year he has been looking for a place to live. After being in my current place for 15 years he has to move because his landlord needs to renovate house and then sell. See info from Bam and Kobe's owner,
"I have two blue nose bullies age 3 , brothers who have made it seem like an impossible matter to find a house suitable for all of us in. I can’t find anyone to accept them . They are not viscous but protective. Grew up around my grand daughters who are now 10 and 12 . Good with some dogs, no cats . Full of energy. Just need some help trying to find them a home preferably together."

We know it's hard to place 1 dog, nevermind 2. But if you can help either of these boys, please contact ([email protected], 516-714-4403) and we'll put you in touch with their owner. Get a Bull has not met these dogs. We are trying to help their owner rehome them.

🚨 Foster Needed!!

We really want to pull Blake from but we need a foster!! He's currently on a with a staff member but needs a home without small animals. He may be able to live with another dog but slow introduction is needed since he's still decompressing from being in an overcrowded shelter.

He's been great with everyone he's met during his short term foster. He's housebroken, crate trained, and knows some basic commands. He also walks nice on a leash. He really seems to like being in a home and follows his foster family around. We really want to help him stay out of the shelter, but we need your help! Please share him for a foster home.

We are crying HAPPY tears!! After more than two months of trying to secure a foster, yesterday we sprung Gumbo from Islip Animal Shelter and Adopt-a-Pet Center!!! Gumbo came into the shelter with our sweet GAB girl, Autumn, and now they have been reunited! When Gumbo and Autumn saw each other again, the excitement and love was absolutely incredible. We never knew that these two were so bonded, but it is evident that all is right in their world now! We absolutely cannot get enough of the cuteness overload! Gumbo has some funkiness going on with his skin and will be visiting our vet on Monday to get him on the road to recovery.
