😍Who couldn’t use a double dose of cuteness on a dreary winter day? Say hello to Jerome and Eugene! These adorable boys are a bit on the shy side, but they are coming out of their shells more and more each day and are starting to show their playful little purrsonalities. They are looking for a quiet forever home together where they can continue to grow and blossom. To learn more about them or to fill out a meet your match form, go to healthyanimalcenter.org/our-cats.

💜CAHW Alumni Love Story - Aries💜

“When my son left for the military I faced the reality of living by myself for the first time ever. I went to CAHW to “just look” and fell in love with a Maine C**n mix who had been recently surrendered.

Aries (I kept his given name) has been such a blessing. He’s a peaceful and vocal little soul who brings me joy every single day. I am so very grateful for him and the love he brings into my life.”

💜CAHW Alumni Love Story - Bean💜

The purrfect story to share on National Make a Friend Day!

“We adopted Bean (Previously Peppo) in November 2022 and we are so in love with him! We adopted him to be a friend for our first cat Rue and they absolutely love each other. They play and play every single day and annoy each other just like siblings do. He has grown so big!”

💜CAHW Alumni Love Story - Longan💜

I adopted my boy, Longan (formerly known as Luffy) in February 2022 and have been delighted ever since. We have navigated some obstacles together, including introducing him to his sister and managing anxiety at vet visits. Through all of it, he has been an incredibly sweet and warm-hearted boy. Every night, he will lay on my chest for evening snuggles. He also has nightly dinners with his sister to promote relationship-building. This boy is a beacon of love and I am so thankful every day he is in my life.

Thank you for making this possible,
Frances

💜CAHW Alumni Love Story - Bandit & Lexie💜

I've been blessed with two wonderful cats adopted through CAHW, Bandit and Alexandria.

I adopted Bandito in August, 2023. Bandito's shelter name was shortened to Bandit. Aptly named, because he stole my heart. He has a younger collie sister named Piper, who is his bestie!

Prior to Bandit, in 2019, I adopted "Lexie," a beautiful dilute tortie. She had resided at the shelter for a year and was 8 years old at the time of her adoption. We were fortunate to love and care for her for four years until her passing at age 12.

Much love to CAHW for all the wonderful work you do to care for all the furrbabies!

-Linda

💜CAHW Alumni Update💜

“I adopted a 4 year old male cat named Charlie a few weeks ago. We have had a variety of pets throughout my lifetime. Our aging pets began to pass away, my children married and moved away and then my wife passed away. Charlie has helped fill the void. First, I have renamed him Mot, as he is the photo negative of our last cat Tom. While Tom was grey with white spots, particularly on the nose, Mot is white with grey spots and a grey spot on his nose. So what do you call a cat that is the photo negative of Tom? Well you call him Mot. (Tom spelled backwards). He has adapted to the name and comes when called. He still does not like being picked up, but he has started to crawl into my lap for a nap. That is a recent event. His favorite thing to do is to wait until I am typing on my computer then walk across my keyboard. But he does bump heads with me and exhibits trust, which is very important. Being a small cat he plays in bursts. Unlike large cats, like Tom was, who tend to stand their ground even in play, Mot darts in and out recognizing his limited size and uses his speed and agility to score playful points. He is currently under my desk attacking my knee to get attention. His nails are retracted, but he uses his paws in a slapping manner. He purrs the whole time.

Well, I just wanted to thank everyone for Mot (Charlie). He is a good boy who has adapted well to his new home.”
