Hey all!
Just another reminder about fireworks.
Apalachicola, Eastpoint, St. George Island, and Carrabelle all do fireworks on different days typically from the 1st through the 4th.

If your pet does not do well with loud booms, there’s medication we can prescribe to help them!

Please feel free to reach out to see how we can help your fur baby through this; they may think the world is exploding!

*We have to have a client patient relationship within the past year to perscribe this medication*

Stay safe, have fun, stay hydrated!

For the Fourth of July, it's crucial to prioritize pet safety, especially given the common dangers associated with fireworks and summer heat. Veterinarians recommend keeping pets indoors, creating a safe space, ensuring proper identification, and avoiding potentially harmful situations like fireworks displays or exposure to certain foods.

If your furbaby has noise phobia, now is the time we highly recommend either refilling your medications, or make an appointment to see what would be best prescribed.

Fourth of July and New Years more pets go missing than any other time of the year due to fear of the noise, and they bolt out doors, or get through fences ect.

Call us today if you have any questions, request refills, or need to setup an appointment! We are required to have seen that pet within the past year to prescribe medication.

Hey all!!

We know it’s calling for some pop storms, and slight overcast weather this week, but wanted to make a quick post regarding heatstroke!

Please keep an eye on your pet if they will be outdoors with you in this Florida heat! Heatstrokes are a very real issue, and can turn deadly.

- If you go for walks, early morning or late afternoon is best (watch out for bears!).
- When outside, please make sure your fur baby has access to water and shade 🌴 πŸ’§
- Dogs with shorter snouts (pugs, Boston Terriers, Frenchies etc ) are at a higher risk of getting overheated.
- Heatsroke signs can include: excessive panting along with an increas in salvation, lethargy, vomiting, diahrhea, and up to siezures, and collapse.

If you are ever in doubt, please do not hesitate to call us, or the closest vet clinic to get your fur baby in and seen immediately as it is absolutely considered a medical emergency! Below is a link with some good information about heatstrokes/hyperthermia

πŸ“£ This week, we proudly celebrate Veterinary Receptionist Week β€” a time to recognize the dedicated professionals who are often the first point of contact.

Bri, Jane, and Riley play an essential role in supporting both our clients and our veterinary staff. From managing appointments and answering inquiries to offering a kind word during difficult moments. Their professionalism and compassion are at the core of what we do. 🐾

We are truly grateful for all their hard work, warmth, and commitment to our Forgotten Coast community. Please join us in thanking our wonderful receptionists for all the things they do! πŸ’œ
