📢 DID YOU KNOW? The majority of our herd goes back to Flat Rock's Genetics. We chose Flat Rocks early on in our goat herd journey. They came highly recommended and we are so thankful to have worked so closely with them! Building a herd around specific genetics helps create consistency in the animals that you produce. Our goal was a show quality herd of animals we would feel proud to place in other people's hand. Flat Rock's gave us that foundation!

➡Here at BA we have been raising Nigerian Dwarf Goats since 2016. We started our herd with 3 unregistered goats as an Easter gift for our oldest son who was 2 years old at the time.
➡After research and exploration, we learned there was a whole world out there with show quality, registered Nigerians. We quickly fell in love and knew we had to get started. We purchased a few does from farms in Colorado and Montana.
➡If you're around goats much, you've seen the herd name FLAT ROCKS. When Lauren was introduced to this herd, she was amazed by the beautiful animals in it as well as the 30+ year history behind it! So what did she do? She bought her first FLAT ROCKS buck! Flat Rock's Blue Chrome...and talk about influential! Chrome (affectionately known around here as Chromey, old man, big guy, etc) is the foundation of our herd and we are so very proud to have built our herd around such a wonderful animal! (bottom right picture is Chrome with his momma, the gorgeous Flat Rock's Mythril Silver)
➡Our 2 boys have grown up around these amazing creatures, experiencing births, losses, hard work, life lessons, responsibility, tears, laughs, and so much more! We feel so blessed by the many things they have taught us all!

Next up...BAUMGARTNER ACRES BUFFY MAE. This gal is such a sweetheart! She has such a unique color (chocolate cou clair). Her dam is Ellie Mae (pictured). Ellie was a foundation doe to our herd. We lost her a couple years ago, but her legacy lives on through her many kids we've kept. Buffy is a great momma and would be a great addition to any herd.

Here it is...the exact day 8 YEARS AGO that this goat adventure started! I bought 2 unregistered does (pictured) and an unregistered buck (on the floor of the pick up). They were the start of our love, addiction, eye rolls, smiles, laughs, tears lol all the things that come along with owning goats, breeding goats, & loving goats!

P.s. you'll notice we hauled a trailer to pick them up, but they ended up in the back of the pick up haha!
