Dear Friends,

In the aftermath of the recent hurricanes, many of us have witnessed the profound impact on both human and animal lives in the Southeast. The need for support is immense, and our collective efforts can make a significant difference.

Throughout the years, Americans have consistently demonstrated unparalleled generosity, reaching out to help those in need with open hearts. However, amidst the numerous organizations seeking assistance, it can be challenging to identify where our contributions will have the most impact.

I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the incredible work being done by the Charleston Animal Society. They are extending their support to animal shelters in the Upstate of South Carolina and Western North Carolina by distributing vital resources such as food, supplies, and water to the affected areas.

Locally, we have assisted private church affiliated folks whose projects are focused on assisting those affected by Hurricane Helene. We have also contributed to contributing to the Charleston Animal Society's efforts and will continue to do so until stability is restored.

Would also like to mention that the Oconee Regional Humane Society is accepting food, etc donations at their office in Greensboro.

If you feel called to help, I invite you to learn more about their work and consider contributing to these worthy causes. Together, we can make a substantial impact.

Angela is proud to announce her Standard Poodle is doing well after bringing 14 babies into the world. They are about two weeks old now so it’ll be a month before available to the world. Look her up on FB or call her here if interested.

Updates: Construction delays at Goodwill again.

Helene: This week's 4+ hours without internet (thanks Hargray that's 3 times in 18 days), phones, or cell service made us realize that if we lose that or power it's really difficult to do our jobs right.

Most of our staff have 20+ mile commutes.

Given all this we've decided that if we lose power we'll assume it'll take awhile, we're done for the day and heading home. If you have an appointment, you (probably) won't get a phone call because without power we can't make that work either.

I WILL TRY TO POST HERE ON FB, but that depends on the cell towers. I tried one the other day when we lost the internet but it never made it through.

We have started reached out to Thursday and Friday appts. to let them know directly in case FB isn't on their radar.
