When we're watching the dogs play, one of the main things we look for is balanced play; but what does that look like? 🤔

🤼 Taking turns being chased or tackled
⏸️ Taking frequent short breaks
🪱 Loose, wiggly bodies
🎭 Big, exaggerated movements
↩️ Arcing, curved paths (not straight/head-on approaches)

All of these signs help us differentiate between play and something more, and these signals are how the dogs communicate that to each other too! Think about when your dog asks you to play; they probably wiggle their whole body around, jumping, hopping, & zooming around in circles! 🐶 🐾
