Ridge and Heather checked out Twin Oaks Trails Sniffspot tonight and it was lovely! It’s near Osseo and a beautiful mix of open field and woods. Lots of resident deer taking advantage of this space too, so use your long line if your recall is still a work in progress. We want to keep the resident wildlife safe. 🦌
Sniffspots are private land owners who rent their land out by the hour for you to walk your dog on. And you are the only one there during your rental. Our area is so lucky to have many spots available for us crazy dog lovers!

Can we get a shout out to our own teaching staff, Britni, for passing her certification exam to become a CPDT-KA? (Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed) 🙌
To hold this certification, Britni completed 300 documented hours of training experience (she came to the exam with WELL over 300) to sit for the exam, and also signed an attestation to humane training. The four hour exam was administered at a third party testing facility. These certifications also require yearly continuing education to stay abreast of current learning in canine cognition and teaching.
We are so proud to say that our entire teaching staff are all certified professional dog trainers. We are so committed to learning the most ethical, empathic and evidence guided training to help your dogs.

Britni began emBARKing in 2018 when she had two rescues, Dwayne and Coral. A few private lessons later, Heather dropped hints that training might be a good career path. However, the timing wasn’t quite right.
Then, along came "the Scruth" who was a rescue dog who needed more help behaviorally and medically than her previous dogs. Ruth inspired Britni to follow one puppy class and just “see how it goes.” And then another puppy class, and then another, and a year and a half later, here we are.
Britni works at a vet clinic as well as emBARK so cooperative care, nail boards, and muzzle training have become special areas of interest for her. You can often find her running around Puppy Einstein, setting up for Sniffari weekends and doing lessons on cooperative care and manners. She is a skilled trainer, and also a welcoming and comedic force on our teaching team.
