I wanted to take a minute to thank all the great clients that have brought birds to us this year and made this the biggest year Wicked Wings Taxidermy has ever seen and made Wicked Wings Taxidermy the biggest name in waterfowl taxidermy on the western slope! This has been a big dream of mine since I started this business 8 years ago. If you have a bird with us or have used us in the past, thank you! You’re making dreams come true. So with all this growth it has brought up one problem; there isn’t enough time to mount the amount of birds we are getting calls for, even with Ryley coming in once a week to help. We are slowly falling behind our promised turn around time so with much internal deliberation I have decided it would be wise to limit the amount of birds we can take in, in perpetuity. So from now until we are either caught up or expand our capacity we will be limiting our take-ins to past clients only, current outfitters, Ducks Unlimited volunteers, subcontracted work for other taxidermists, any state agency and will only be opening up to new turkey clients. I hope that this is only a temporary solution to this wonderful problem and will be hoping to open back up to new clients during the 2024-2025 waterfowl season but for now this will have to do. Also, if we have promised a price to you in the past as of now you will get that price on birds that are with us currently but I do foresee a price increase within the next year due to demand increase and lack of supply, or in better words, what is being asked of us verses what what is possible for us. Again, I wanted to thank everyone that has created this successful business and wanted you to know we are doing this to ensure high quality work with a 1 year turnaround. I’ve known several taxidermists that have had a multiple year turnaround time and have promised myself I would not do that to my clients so that is where this is coming from. Thank you guys and I will keep everyone updated on prices, turnaround and if our availability for new clients has changed.
Thank you
