Some big changes happening here at CK Ranch, thanks to some last minute investors/ wonderful neighbors we are going under construction. We will be redoing the arena, putting in lights timers and building a road. Soon we will be having ropings and barrel races. God is good!!!

Three of the rescue horses are now available for adoption. All are ponies of some sort with Sterling being a larger pony.

Sterling is a grey stud
Texas a dark Bay young stud

This sweet sweet boy at first was so timid and didn’t want anything to do with anyone; now, he loves the attention and loves kisses. He’s getting ready to go to his forever loving home and CK Ranch cannot wait to see journey.

He is still at stud but one of the sweetest boys. He loves and I mean loves to be brushed. He is a lover and will greet you everything you come out to see him.

He is now healthy and available for adoption to the right home.

In regards to the 4 new rescues here at the ranch; I just learned that they were originally rescued by a woman name Karen who put her own money, heart and soul into them trying to get them healthy. Sadly, Karen passed away 6 months ago and that is how the horses arrived into the situation they were in. Our hearts of CK Ranch & Equine Rescue go out to the family as they mourn not only the loss of Karen, but we also thank them for doing what is best for the horses. We will continue to do Karen's mission making sure in finding these wonderful horses a good, loving, forever homes.

Well look who finally let me put a halter on and move him to the pond area. No pulling no popping up or anything. Sterling is almost ready for his forever home. He is still a stud.

Today, the horse that we were told wouldn’t make it went to her forever home. Trinity had to fight and she did. She beat all odds and not only made it but is thriving. Trinity you will forever be in our hearts at CK Ranch.

Well we’re not quite at 2 weeks but here is an update. Everyone is starting to gain weight. Barbie is starting to show her personality. Missy and Texas are still fun shy but now letting me pet them. I’m hoping to be able to get their manes cleaned up this weekend. Sterling is looking fabulous with barely any rib showing and all cuts healing.

Tomorrow, I will be picking up 4 horses from a situation no animal should be put in. Grateful the owners did the right thing and did and surrendered them. Please help me welcome, Texas, Sterling, Barbie, and Missy to CK Ranch.

Promise is one of the rescue horses we brought to CK Ranch back in May. She was emancipated. and suffering from a 7" deep T post wound that was severely infected. after three months here she is back to full health and now has found her forever home!! Thank you Katie for giving Promise her new home!!

This last year has been one for the books, but we are back. Some changes the C in CK ranch is no longer here however, I am keeping the ranch name. I need to replace the meaning of the C. Give me your thoughts!!! Few suggestions I have been given are:

Courageous Kay Ranch
Changing Kay Ranch
