More recently a second raw diet has been recalled from Monarch Raw Pet food. I would strongly recommend refraining from feeding raw poultry diets to pets.

An Oregon-based pet food company, Northwest Naturals, has issued a voluntary recall of its cat food after finding out it’s been contaminated with bird flu

Each and every member of our veterinary team is important and they should be made to feel that way. But when we take a week made for one specific role and make it about everyone, it devalues them.

Do veterinarians deserve a whole week? Yes.

Do the kennel staff deserve a whole week? Yes.

Does management in general deserve a whole week? Yes.

Do practice owners deserve a whole week? Yes.

Each and every person and position deserves their own week. Just because it’s easier to combine everyone into one week, doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do. Will you make everyone happy? No. But by doing this you’re single handedly devaluing the people who keep your business open.

Take a moment to appreciate each and every member of your team. Whether they have an appreciation week or not. They will thank you with their hard work and dedication.

We have not been given any information about what caused the local outage.

The gnats are back! We have gotten a few calls about mysterious bullseye rashes (usually on the stomach) the past couple of days. While they look alarming, these gnat bites tend to resolve on their own and are not harmful (but can be itchy!).

Of course if you are concerned, unsure, or your pet is experiencing any other symptoms, give us a call!
