Many of our kitties have been in our foster care for months if not years. We have a couple bonded pair that would love nothing more than to live the rest of thier life in a home of thier own and not a foster room. Please consider opening your heart and home to one or more of these special kitties. We have lost many kitties recently due to health and age. They were with us years. Please don't let another kitty never know what a home of their own is like.

We love them dearly and they can stay with us til the day they pass on but we prefer them to have something more!

Today we also lost Smores. This sweet boy was just over a year old. He was found abandoned as a baby and we took him in. He was a sweet and shy boy. No one ever came forward to claim or adopt him. He spent his life in foster care and was truly loved by his foster momma. He had no health issues or signs of illness. He passed away in his sleep.

We send out our heart felt sympathies to his foster mom and her family.

RIP sweet boy. Until we meet again.

It is with the heaviest of hearts we let you all know that our sweet Flopsy has passed on. She was a real lover of a kitty and a fighter to the end. She loved everyone she met and adored her foster siblings. We have no words to describe the joy and happiness she brought to us all her at Forgotten Felines of WNY, INC. Especially to her foster momma. Also to many of you all. She touched the hearts of so many. She wouldn't have had the chance she did without each and everyone of you. Rest in peace sweet girl. UPDATE: Sweet Cricket has crossed the rainbow bridge.

Our sweet alumni Lola now named cricket is struggling to keep going. Her human momma msg us this evening to let us know what's been going on. Cricket has been struggling with health issues for about a month now and her lungs aren't well. After multiple vet appts and medications she is declining fast. The vet is not ruling out cancer. Her appt is tomorrow again to make a decision on what to do for her.

We did not get the news we were hoping for from Charlie's polyp biopsy. It was found to be cancerous.

Charlie will recieve whatever care he needs until he shows us he is ready to move on.

Charlie would have died a terrible death outside. As it is he suffered for years on the streets while most people turned a blind eye.

He was turned down by every rescue that was contacted. He did not come to us with a donation or an agreement to donate their time.

We accepted him with open arms because he deserved a chance. It crushes us to turn cats in need away. Especially those that are like Charlie, we have recently lost Mama Z, and Sage who were turned away from all rescues that were contacted.

Our adopted fur babies like Rowan, Wicket, Beau, and Teddy that other rescues would not help due to not being friendly or being a long term health concern or a bonded senior pair of black kitties.

We have no choice but to turn cats away in need because we just don't recieve the donations to keep us going. We can barely afford to feed the cats in our care.

Charlie's foster mom has paid for 95% of his medical bills, medications and daily needs since he entered our rescue over a year ago.

She will do whatever is best for Charlie and we will be there till the end.

Radar is recovering well after weeks of flushing wounds, hot packing, and medications. He will not be returning to his colony to live outdoors ever again. He will be joining his caretaker in the home for the rest of his days. He is not a fan of people but as you can see after weeks of hands on care He has learned to tolerate pretty much anyone.

These decisions are never made lightly when coming to feral cats, however in his case it was well worth the scars and hard work. We thank you so much for helping us give him the chance he deserves.

There are still many friendly cats in the colonies we help maintain and more show up monthly so in the spring our vp will be back at again with TNVR. There are not enough homes for all the cats and Kittens in our communities. Rescues are bursting at the seams and we are no different.

It is always a heartbreaking decision to return a friendly cat to a colony. However it is better to return to a colony fully vetted then to do nothing at all.

UPDATE: CHARLIE IS OUT OF SURGERY AND RECOVERING. HIS SURGERY RAN US MORE THAN EXPECTED AND IT WAS $678. WE RAISED $360 AND REALLY COULD USE SOME HELP RAISING THE REST. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO MEET OUR OTHER EXPENSES THIS MONTH ON TOP OF THIS. WE ARE WRORRIED ABOUT NOT ONLY CHARLIE BUT THE OTHER KITTIES WHO WE HAVE MEDS AND SUPPLEMENTS TO PAY FOR ON THE 13TH!!!

We are heartbroken to learn that sweet Teddy crossed the rainbow bridge. He's here with his brother Buster. We are beyond grateful for his foster fail momma for giving him the best life and caring for all his medical needs. Keep buster in your thoughts as he is now without his brother. And our sincerest sympathy to his human momma. Until we meet again sweet boy.

Rescue never ends and more times than not we end up fronting the bills and then we end up with the cat that is not adoptable and cannot be returned to the location due to no caretakers or the situation is dangerous. Yes they can go to barn homes but those are becoming increasingly hard to find. So this beautiful boy Toby went to a foster and had very little improvement as far as being social. So where did he end up, yep with our rescue. We are working in trusting new people but as you can see he is a lover just needs someone to put the time in. He will most likely never be adopted because of this. But here he is in all his glory Toby. Time and patience is key. Cats like this require a person who is calm, low anxiety, and low stress. Update on sweet FIP+ Gabriel Another fantastic job to all of our supporters to help this wonderful boy fight the odds. Gabriel is still on treatment and it's his 93rd day. He is prolonged a bit due to some setbacks he has had. He is on track again and doing great. This is all because of the wonderful support from you all.

Sweet ruby and cricket are ready for their forever home. These 2 girls came to us after the only momma they knew Sadly couldn't care for them any long. At the young ages of 3 and 6 they really long for a home to call theirs again Ruby( tabby) is very out going and loving. Cricket( tortie) shy and sweet but once she wants up is an absolute lover. They need a home on the quiet side and no dogs. Other cats would be fine with proper Introduction. Their adoption fee is sponsored to an approved adopter. .

We have raised wnough for 2 vials....need funds 8 more!!! abriel is doing great with his treatment. We were able to order a few vials of his medication but to make it through to the end we need 10 more. They are $52 each. Any amount is helpful.
