Nail trim services will need to have an appointment booked. We have been walk-in for nail trims since we opened but recently have run into issues with walk-in visits and our regularly scheduled grooming appointments. Thank you!

Keep an idea of what all your pets need in an emergency. Proof of Vaccination especially Rabies is a must in all emergency kits. This is just the beginning as we all know we get most of our storms between now and October. Stay safe!

The shelters are pet friendly if you are in need with the incoming storm!

🚨 Urgent Weather Alert: Tropical Storm Debby Shelter Information 🚨

Just a heads-up: the shelters are not open, we want to make sure you’re aware of where to go if needed.

With the upcoming heavy rain from Tropical Storm Debby (August 8-10), we're providing information on animal-accepting shelters:

Shelter Locations:
- Gates County: Gates County High School
- Perquimans County: Perquimans County High School
- Chowan County: Chowan Middle School

Rainfall Estimates:
The National Hurricane Center predicts up to 6 inches of rain for Gates, Perquimans, and Chowan counties. There is a chance for the storm to intensify once it reaches the Atlantic.

Important Shelter Information:
- Rabies Certificate: Bring a current rabies certificate for your pet. Contact the provider of the vaccine TODAY if you need a copy as some locations and offices may close due to weather.
- Pet Supplies: Bring a crate if possible, food, and a leash for dogs and cats.

These shelters are not open yet but will be as the county decides, so keep this information handy to know where to go.

Stay safe and prepared. We will continue to provide updates as the situation develops.
