We take in animals in need and do our best to rehabilitate them so they can live happy healthy lives! We focus on horses, dogs, and cats, but we may also have goats, chickens, donkeys, mules, and pigs! We always need help in the form of volunteers, fosters, sponsors, and donations! Baby Possum lost one 👀 two 🥜 on Tuesday!

His eye went from bad to worse over the weekend and it just couldn’t wait.

He is doing great now!

So thankful to our incredible vet for squeezing him in. 💗

We welcomed 3 sheep last night. The family needed to downsize their animals and our little Lamie needed some friends since the goats are rude to her.

Rou aka “granny” is 12 years old
Rummy is 10 years old
Martin is about 7 months old

The rescue had some visitors today! Horses got some treats and pets from a special little girl that loves them dearly! Rocky LOVED the treats and had to lick everyone's hands to make sure he got every bit.

This little friend and his 4 siblings and 3 cousins joined us Thanksgiving Day. Their eyes were glued shut due to infection. We started treating them right away and everyone is doing much better.

But Possum here, has more going on. While he was at work with his foster Thursday night it became obvious he was in pain. Luckily, his foster happens to work at our vet clinic. It appears he had an abscess BEHIND his eye 😳. But now that it burst he is much more comfortable. He will likely need the eye removed.

We have had SO many cats/kittens with crazy eye issues this year. But they all stem from being in housing conditions where there were too many cats causing widespread illness. This is why spay/neuter is so important!!!

It's hard to believe we just wrapped up our third year as a rescue! We'd like to take a moment to appreciate all our volunteers, donors, foster families and adopters by flooding Facebook with our BTC Alumni! Let us look back on all the fuzzy faces that were saved by our combined efforts ♥️

Pierre has been with us for over a year!

He would really like a home if his own. He loves his foster family and they love him. But he would do best in a rural setting. He would be OK in the city as long as there aren’t so many tiny dogs walking around. You see, he looks at them and sees snacks. 🫣

Pierre LOVES people of all sizes. And he’s a super smart boy. He is a calm couch potato in the house.

He is 8-9 years old. But don’t let his age fool you! He’s in great shape and gets around very well. He’s also very strong.

Please help our sweet boy a home for the holidays 🎄

Arthur wanted to give everyone an update and let you know how great he’s doing!

His wounds are healing very well, even the huge one! The fracture in his front leg is definitely healing. His jaw is still a little wonky but he eats just fine. He’s also had solid 💩!

We are so grateful for our amazing vet team and their continued care of this sweet boy.

No owners ever came forward so once he is completely healed and neutered he will be available for adoption. He may need dental work down the road though. There was a lot of trauma to his little mouth and we don’t know yet if it will affect his adult teeth.

On Monday we said goodbye to sweet mama Pumpkin. Her legs were failing her and we knew it would just get worse this winter.

Run free little girl. And rest easy knowing your baby will live a wonderful life knowing nothing but love 💗

Does anyone recognize this guy? He was found in the FedEx parking lot in Mosinee . Employees said that he had been there for over a week. One employee took him home the last couple days.

He appears to have been fixed. Also very friendly.

Please let us know if you know him. And please share in case somebody is looking for him!

A few years ago I met a family through some pretty unfortunate circumstances, but it turned out to be a wonderful friendship. They have been fostering one of our very senior horses, Dallas, and adopted one of our ponies, Dakota. So when they asked about a step up pony for the oldest grandkids I instantly thought of Misty.

Misty came to us very shut down and scared of people. But we knew her past and knew she had it in her to be a wonderful pony. Thanks to the hard work of our incredible, dedicated volunteer Jack, she had made some huge progress.

So a few weeks ago she went to her new home where she settled in beautifully. And here’s the proof 🥰

We have some pretty BIG news to share!

BOTH Little Girl and Ranger were adopted into the same home!!!!

We got them at different times and quickly figured out they were diabetic. Thankfully both were able to get into remission on diet alone. But there is always a chance it could come back at some point.

On top of that, both are SENIORS. And Ranger is very shy and takes awhile to warm up to people.

But thanks to the most wonderful young man, they now have a home of their own. He is also a nurse so if either of them need insulin at some point he will have no problems administering. It’s people like him that keep us going. 💕

Huge improvement!! 💕

This little guy is a fighter! Still no leads on an owner but he got fixed up yesterday. Our amazing vet and techs cleaned him up and he’s feeling better already. Wire around his jaw to hold it in place. Large wound in his groin was cleaned and has a few stitches to hold it. Other puncture wounds were cleaned up. And part of his tail was amputated because it was completely broken and open. We did not split the broken leg because it will just be harder for him to get around. But kitten bones heal well so for now we are leaving it alone One of the vet techs was nice enough to take him home for the next 3 days to tend to him. I’ll put pictures in the comments because FB won’t let us put videos and pictures in the same post 🤷‍♀️ He’s got a long road ahead but he somehow survived the attack and then survived, probably a week, with the injuries so hopefully he’ll make a full recovery.
