We take in animals in need and do our best to rehabilitate them so they can live happy healthy lives! We focus on horses, dogs, and cats, but we may also have goats, chickens, donkeys, mules, and pigs! We always need help in the form of volunteers, fosters, sponsors, and donations! A few years ago I met a family through some pretty unfortunate circumstances, but it turned out to be a wonderful friendship. They have been fostering one of our very senior horses, Dallas, and adopted one of our ponies, Dakota. So when they asked about a step up pony for the oldest grandkids I instantly thought of Misty.

Misty came to us very shut down and scared of people. But we knew her past and knew she had it in her to be a wonderful pony. Thanks to the hard work of our incredible, dedicated volunteer Jack, she had made some huge progress.

So a few weeks ago she went to her new home where she settled in beautifully. And here’s the proof 🥰

We have some pretty BIG news to share!

BOTH Little Girl and Ranger were adopted into the same home!!!!

We got them at different times and quickly figured out they were diabetic. Thankfully both were able to get into remission on diet alone. But there is always a chance it could come back at some point.

On top of that, both are SENIORS. And Ranger is very shy and takes awhile to warm up to people.

But thanks to the most wonderful young man, they now have a home of their own. He is also a nurse so if either of them need insulin at some point he will have no problems administering. It’s people like him that keep us going. 💕

This little guy is a fighter!

Still no leads on an owner but he got fixed up yesterday.

Our amazing vet and techs cleaned him up and he’s feeling better already.

Wire around his jaw to hold it in place. Large wound in his groin was cleaned and has a few stitches to hold it. Other puncture wounds were cleaned up. And part of his tail was amputated because it was completely broken and open. We did not split the broken leg because it will just be harder for him to get around. But kitten bones heal well so for now we are leaving it alone

One of the vet techs was nice enough to take him home for the next 3 days to tend to him.

I’ll put pictures in the comments because FB won’t let us put videos and pictures in the same post 🤷‍♀️

He’s got a long road ahead but he somehow survived the attack and then survived, probably a week, with the injuries so hopefully he’ll make a full recovery.

**** UPDATE *****

The kitten was seen by our vet today and it actually appears that he was attacked by another animal versus being hit by a car. His jaws fractured, as well as his left front humerus. He also has a pretty big laceration on his abdomen, right where it connects to his leg. The skin is already looking necrotic and is infected. And his right front leg has a puncture wound we believe which is why it is so swollen. He will be going back to the vet tomorrow to see if they can put a wire around his jaw and shave him and clean him up while he is sedated. But there’s still the potential that he might already be septic so his prognosis is guarded. He is on antibiotics and pain medicine.

He is a friendly kitten so we feel that he was owned at some point. Hoping the power of the Internet can help find his owner if they are in fact looking for him.

This little one was found on camp road about 2 and a half miles from county highway X in mosinee. It appears he was hit by a car. He looks to be between 3-4 months old

This little lady showed up in someone’s garage. She was seen for 4 days prior to that wandering around.

Under 10 lbs, very friendly and seems to be potty trained. Someone has to be missing her!!

Found in Riplinger, township of Unity. Closest major intersection is Hwy Q and Hwy K

Please let us know if you recognize her

Yesterday Quincy came back to the farm to be laid to rest. He was starting to have trouble walking. He was bred to go to slaughter, not live a long healthy life. But he got 8 years of being loved.

Thank you to the Koser family for giving him the best year of his life. I love you guys more than you know.

And thank you to Jenna for letting him ride in your horse trailer and escorting him back.

He got lots of snacks and belly rubs, which he has always loved. I will miss your snorts and watching you destroy pumpkins. Run free my friend 💕

Once again behind on posting, but we welcomed 2 horses to the rescue a couple weeks ago.

Maelynn is a palomino Appaloosa cross who is going blind at only 8 years old.

And we did a swap with another rescue friend. She took Cody and will be able to ride him. And she offered Glimmer, a 6 year old thoroughbred, to be friends with Ranger (our blind guy). Unfortunately he lost 3 of the only horses that would tolerate him when we had to put them down. He now lives with Glimmer and Queen and they are the perfect trio.

It has taken me awhile to post about this but 2 weeks ago today we said goodbye to 7 horses. Sylvia, Sweet pea, Solita, Empress, Ottis, and Bolt. As well as Honey, she wasn’t ours but lived here for a couple years and we loved her like she was one of our own.

Then a couple days later Lady went back to her original home so she could be laid to rest there.

It was hard to say the least. But we find comfort in knowing they got to live out their time being able to just be a horse. Without any expectations of being ridden or worked.

Salem (black) and Sabrina (grey) will soon be up for adoption!!! Sabrina is extremely friendly and loves to rub up against your leg.
Salem is still learning people are ok but he is extremely curious of people and is food motivated.

The last couple weeks have been very busy.

3 trips and 76 cats were fixed and returned to their farms.

While helping the farms we came across a few kittens who were sick so we brought them home to provide medical care. There was also an older cat (who was already fixed) that was having some major issues eating. I’ll put the video in the comments. Our amazing vet got him in right away and determined he was likely having dental issues. He ended up having to have ALL his teeth removed.

We are grateful for our partnership with The Fix Is In, Inc. for helping with 2 of the spay/neuter trips. But to continue to help all these cats we need your support! Please consider donating so we can continue to help not just with spay/neuter, but also to help with the overall health of these colonies. There is a HUGE need in our community!

Also, a huge thank you to our volunteer drivers! Without them we would not have been able to get all these kitties fixed!
