The City of Gardner Animal Control will be distributing calming treats for the first 100 licensed canine owners that attend distribution. The treats may help your canines with the anxiety that can be caused by fireworks. With the assistance of Gardner Pet Supply, we have been able to obtain 300 pouches of Honest Paws calming treats. We will be distributing 1 pouch per canine for each of the 3 days of legal discharge in the city. The city will also be distributing discount coupons that can be used at Gardner Pet Supply, 1000 E. Santa Fe. St.

Residents must bring ID and either have a current license for their canine for 2023 or license the animal at the time of pickup. Distribution will be held at the Gardner Justice Center, 16540 Moonlight Road, the week of June 26th- June 29th from 8am – 4pm. Again, this is first come, first serve for the first 100 canines worth of pouches.

TRAFFIC ALERT!

All lanes of Moonlight Road, north of US-56/Main Street to Lincoln Lane, will be closed starting Monday, April 10. Left turns from westbound US-56/Main Street to southbound Moonlight Road will also be prohibited. This will allow crews to continue pavement replacement work as part of the overall US-56/Main Street improvement project. The closure is expected to last up to three weeks. See detour details below as it relates to the provided map:

🚧Southbound Moonlight traffic north of 56 Highway that needs to go east should use the green alternate route.

🚧Southbound Moonlight traffic north of 56 Highway that needs to go south of 56 Highway should use the blue alternate route.

🚧Eastbound 56 Highway traffic that needs to go north on Moonlight should use the blue alternate route.

🚧Westbound 56 Highway traffic that needs to go north on Moonlight should use the green alternate route.

🚧Northbound Moonlight traffic, south of 56 Highway, should use the blue alternate route.

🚧Westbound Moonlight traffic that needs to go south should take Cedar Niles Road.
