Hey all of our Pawesome clients!! We understand that times are hard for everyone right now. We also understand that this is a hectic time of year, with summer coming to an end, and getting ready for school to start. However, the last minute cancellations are getting to be pretty frequent. With that being said, if we do not get a minimum of 24 BUSINESS hours notice, which also means even if you have an afternoon appointment the next day, and we do not hear from you, by 10 am the BUSINESS morning before, you will be responsible for paying your ENTIRE appointment cost, before being able to reschedule. We hate having to do this, but cancellations affect the business in multiple ways. Thank you for your understanding.

Good morning all of our Pawesome clients!! Just wanted to go over a couple things with you all. We are aware a couple local groomers are out on leave, and a local salon has closed. We are doing our best to accommodate everyone as quickly as we can. Also, I know it sounds crazy, but we are booking up very quickly for Christmas. I strongly recommend everyone to book their appointments for the remainder of the year.

Also, we do NOT have a set time we close! We work by appointment only. We expect pets to be picked up in a timely manner when we notify you they are ready. If you will not be able to promptly pick up, prior arrangements must be made, or an additional fee will be applied. We also do this to the limit the number of pets in our salon at one time.

We also DO NOT OPEN UNTIL 9! Just because you see us there, doesn’t mean we are ready to open. We have things we must do in the salon each morning, to prepare for our day. If you go to other places, you wouldn’t be able to enter before they open, and the same goes for us. Too many people have been doing this, and it doesn’t allow is the proper time to prepare for our day.

Lastly, if you show up before we have contacted you to let you know your pet is ready, we will give them back, unfinished, and you will pay full price. Even if you just sit up front, they can sense when you are there, and it makes it difficult to safely continue their groom. Please respect us, and our time, and policies, as these are put in place to ensure the pets, and our safety. Good morning all of our Pawesome clients!! We have had a large number of new clients, recently starting to bring their furbabies to our salon. I would like to introduce/reintroduce you all to our Pawesome team!!

Some of you may have already met the newest person to the Bark Ave family, Amanda. Amanda has been with us for almost 2 months now. She has a strong passion for all types of animals, from big to small. She loves dogs, and cats, and we recently learned, from helping save and relocating a turtle, that she is obsessed with them!

Amanda is always up for giving all the furbabies, all the snuggle time they need!! We are so excited to have her with us!!

Everyone, please join us in welcoming Amanda to our family!!

Good morning all of our Pawesome clients! Please read this entire post, as we have some new, and current policies, being put more into effect immediately!

We will no longer be servicing any dogs over 40 pounds. Unfortunately, this may even mean, if you’re an existing client, we may no longer be able to continue to care for your furbaby. It has became extremely physically, and mentally draining on us, to continuously, have to try to do dogs that are fighting, pulling, bucking, crocodile rolling, and biting at us. Not only is this unsafe, for us, and the pets entrusted to our care, but this also puts our schedule very behind, causing pets to be there longer than necessary. This also goes a long with, if we tell you your pet needs to be on a certain schedule, and that doesn’t happen, we will no longer continue to do your dog.

Next, we will require a current picture of a potential new dog client, before we will make the appointment. We have been recently lied to, on multiple occasions about dogs sizes, and conditions. If you bring your furbabies in, and they are not what was told to us prior to the appointment, or we discover they have severe behavioral issues once we start to groom them, we will send them home, and you will have to pay the entire cost of what the full groom would have been, and this includes us keeping the deposit required before making the appointment.

Last, we work by APPOINTMENT only! We do NOT have a set time we close. When we contact you, we expect the pets to be picked up in a timely manner. Just like you all, we do have things to do after we leave the shop, some of which are getting to daycare on time, getting our kids places, or even appointments. Additional fees will be added if you don’t pickup your pet within 30 minutes of us contacting you. We also do this, to limit the number of pets, in our salon, at one time.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for anyone, but these decisions were not made lightly. I have to do what is best for the salon, the furbabies in our care, and the safety of us, and the furbabies. If you have any questions regarding any of this, please feel free to call, or text, the shop phone at 667-276-0146, and we will gladly answer any concerns.

We were so grateful to be able to help out these 2 Pawesome pups, from Senior Dog Sanctuary of Maryland, last week. We were able to give them a Pawesome transfurmation! We can’t wait to take care of more of their furbabies to help find them their furever homes! If you’re looking for an amazing senior furbaby, be sure to check them out!

Any new or used shoes can be collected to help raise money to care for some amazing rescue furbabies! Donations may be dropped off at any time during our normal business hours. Hey everyone! I’m actually pretty upset I even need to post something like this. We are in our busiest time of the year. We are working very hard to get everyone’s furbabies in before the holiday. We just want to remind everyone, that even though we normally get everyone’s pets out in a decent amount of time, we can not make any promises how long it will take right now. We make sure everyone is aware of that at drop off! If you haven’t heard from us, there is nothing wrong with your furbaby! If you do not trust us enough by now, to know we would call you if something is wrong, then we aren’t the place for you. Also, please stop calling repeatively, or just stopping in saying “you were in the area.” We hear this more than you realize. We know it is a way for people to try and rush us. We do not answer the phone if we are grooming a pet. This is to ensure their safety. If you come in before you are contacted, or keep calling, we will give your dog back finished or not, and you will pay full price!

I also will not deal with any type of disrespect to myself, or any employee! The amount of stuff we dealt with today is unacceptable!

To those who have been so patient, and understanding we appreciate more than you know! Thank you, and we will remember who does this. It costs nothing to be kind, and patient!

Hey everyone!! Just wanted to touch base with everyone! We have very limited spots left for the rest of the year! If you need to get your furbaby groomed, please call, or text the shop phone ASAP! We have 1 spot left for this Wednesday, for a small dog only, due to a cancellation! We have no other appointments until after Christmas! We only have a couple left for the week between Christmas and New years. If you need to cancel, or reschedule your appointment, you will NOT be able to get in before the holidays.

Also, I will be out for most of January. Jayme will still be there, and able to take care of everyone’s pups. We will currently not be accepting any new larger dogs, over 40 pounds, and no new cats. Dogs that require special handling will not be able to be done during this time period. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. So, please be sure to call, or text us, and we will do our best to accommodate everyone we can, before I will be out. Please reach out with any questions.

We hope all of our Pawesome clients are having a great weekend! This is going to be a very long post, but please take time to read the entire thing, as we need to address some things.

First, we want to apologize to anyone who has tried to call us over the past couple months. We were having issues with not being able to, and not receiving voicemails, and some phone calls. The issues should finally be fixed now. We just want everyone to know we were not ignoring anyone. If you don’t get a call back, please send us a text message.

Next, please do not call us back to back, or just show up. We will notify you when you’re pet is ready to be picked up. We will not answer the phone, if we are working on a pet. The more you call, or just show up, the longer it will take! It is a very unlikely probability that your pet is ready in an hour. If this happens, we will give you your pet back, unfinished, and you will be charged full price!

To go along with this, pets must be picked up within a half hour of us notifying you they are done, unless prior arrangements were made. We do not have set hours we work. We work by appointment only! We do this, so the pets have a less stressful experience, so we don’t have a lot in the shop at one time. We are not a daycare, or boarding facility.

We feel that people are taking advantage of our kindness. Our time is just as valuable, as everyone else’s. If you do not give us at least 24 hours notice, that you need to cancel your appointment, you will be charged a cancellation fee, before being able to make another appointment. We do reminders as a courtesy. We can see if you confirm, or don’t confirm your appointment, and when it was done. We will not be calling anyone when you don’t show up for your appointment. You will be charged a no show fee. Also, if you are late to the appointment, or do not confirm your appointment within 24 hours ahead of time, it will automatically be canceled, and a fee charged.

We have absolutely NO Saturday appointments left at all, for this year, or next year! Also, our prices are not negotiable. We understand our prices may not be for everyone, but they are what they are! Also, our prices are based on a 8 week or less schedule! If you bring your pet in matted, we will not dematt it! We will always do what is in the best interest of the pet.

If we tell you that your pet needs a specific schedule, and you do not keep them on that schedule, we will not continue to groom your pet. If your pet comes in with fleas, we will send them home, as I will not risk exposing other pets to them. In the event your pet has fleas, and we didn’t notice until you left, there will be a minimum of a $30 additional fee on the grooming bill!

We have extremely limited appointments left for the rest of the year. If you have not already contacted us to set them up, I would do so ASAP!! If your pet requires updated vaccines, and you can not get us the records, we will not groom them. We simply do not have time to be calling the vets all the time.
