What a weekend! Our horsemanship track students have been working so hard preparing for their first show, and they absolutely killed it! Everyone worked as a team and supported one another in the moments of joy as well as the inevitable frustration that comes with showing horses. Excited to see what comes next for these riders!

What a great season penning and sorting!
These ladies and their ponies worked so hard, and every one of them crushed it at the final WTPC show of the year this weekend. Congratulations to Julie who won her first buckle on Saturday.

The last Westside show for the year is coming up! If you haven’t made it down to T90 Ranch yet this year to watch, come on down and cheer on some team penning and sorting 🤠 a few of our PNWEC riders will be there!

Our horsemanship program participated in a home mock horse show today, putting together all the skills we’ve been working on in lessons 🐴 We could not be prouder of their dedication and progress! And what a fun excuse to show off for friends and family ❤️🥇

Our barn represented in the Novice and Green Novice penning and sorting all weekend with Westside Team Penning Club, with all four of us (Katie, Jolene, Julie, and Jillian) snagging checks and either a first or second place in a class 🙌 we came home with smiles and happy ponies.

The WTPC finals are October 12 & 13 if you haven’t made it out to watch the fun yet this season!

Sorting Clinic at JB yesterday went great! Everyone improved by the end of the day. Thanks to Jim and Roy for the excellent instruction.

We had another great morning at JB Ranch & Stables. Sorting practice is always more fun when we bring half the barn along! The sun was shining, and the cows were just tricky enough to keep us on our toes.

First show weekend of the season is a wrap! Sorting today had some challenging cows, but everybody stepped it up, rode smart, and had lots of fun.

Our group of "horsemanship track" lesson students visited the Spring Showdown at the Tacoma Unit today to preview the world of horse showing. We had a blast doing "ranch horse show bingo" and there was a lot of learning! This was an inspiring field trip to fuel the goals of our young riders.

It's the new year, and we're ordering new barn gear. If you missed out the last time, now is your chance! We'll be using Northwest Custom Apparel, a local business, for our gear this round.
