Happy New Year to everyone!

With it being a new year we’re excited to announce a couple of new things!

First, we are wrapping up construction of the new kennel at our new location. We are opening our books to any new and previous clients for obedience, gun dog, and hunt test training as well as any boarding needs.

Second, we are excited to announce that we officially will have a new business name. From here on out we will be known as County Road Kennels.

BIG NEWS!!!
We’ll be moving locations and building a brand new facility! We’re finishing up dogs currently in for training and then taking a brief break to build the new kennel. We’ll be adding additional space to accommodate more clients as well as upgrading amenities. We’re hoping to be back on our feet by late fall. We are very excited for this next chapter!

We’ve had some new faces in for training lately. Little Rune, owned by Kylie Fricke is here for some basic obedience. Ollee, owned by our friend Jim McGowan is here working towards his AKC Master title.

We also added a permanent face to our kennel.
Introducing DCR’s/RFC’s Libby. She is out of Gigi Strauss’ Faith x Micah breeding. She is already showing great promise of becoming an outstanding retriever!

We still have some training spots available for this summer. Reach out to us to get scheduled.

We are now offering Boarding Services 🐕. Let us take care of your pet(s) while you’re off on vacation or gone for those long weekends this summer. We have heated/cooled inside kennels as well as ventilated outdoor kennels.

With the summer heat approaching we’re not slowing down any!
We have a couple duck dogs finishing up and heading home for the summer. Therefore, we currently have 2 spots open for duck dog/hunt test or obedience training for the summer months. It’s never too early to start thinking about getting your dog ready for duck season or just getting the family pet a little more well behaved. Let us know if we can help you!

We had a successful weekend at Retrievers Unlimited spring hunt test. This is always a fun test with great judges and amazing workers! HRCH Double Curl Don’t Doubt the Scout earned 2 more Finished passes. Our young dogs both earned their first 2 Started passes. Reba, owned by Ryan and Tiffany McJilton. River, owned by Sarah Staumbaugh. Our good friend and training partner Daniel White’s young dog Jenny earned her first 2 Started passes as well. All of our dogs showed that our hard work truly pays off!

Yadi Mo finished up his obedience program with a trip to the doggie wash. He has been a delight to have in our kennels. He returned home as a freshly bathed, well behaved boy. We want to thank Marcy Jameson for trusting us with him!
