How it started and how is it going….

Found in the fields , sick, malnourished, anemic, full of fleas and parasites , left to die there .
Is a story of resilience, they had nothing left in them , no will to live.
It was a day by day struggle , showing them how much they are loved , bathing them , feeding them , until I saw that little sparkle in their eyes .
Their first tail wagging, their first bark , playing with toys , was the beginning of a new life for them .
Without support , is very hard to keep helping more puppies , vaccines , dewormers, antibiotics, food, transport cost are expensive.
Even 5 dollars will make a difference.

We didn’t meet our goal , we are 150 short .

15 puppies will be leaving this week to meet their transport out of state , and start their final journey into their forever homes 💜

A couple of days after the first two puppies were found , these boys appeared at the same location , probably from the same litter , with these 2 it was a touch and go situation for many days , very anemic, infested with fleas and parasites , battling coccidia and of course mange .
They finally came around !
They found the strength to fight !

The Gemstone puppies …
Found in the middle of nowhere, in a place called “ dumping grounds “, a dead sentence for dogs , their little bodies felt like stones, infested with parasites and body temperature dangerously low . The first 48 hours were crucial , rehydrating and getting them to eat so they could find the strength to fight and willing to live . Medicated baths followed, and even though they still look different, they feel much better , their skin has a pinkish tone now , their appetite is amazing and they have the strength to even growl a little at each other when eating . They are being treated for mange sarcoptic and demodex as well as coccidia . They didn’t deserve being abandoned, so little and so much suffering already , they are little fighters for sure 💜

Last week 16 puppies were transported out of South Texas, this week 17 more are leaving !
No donations were received last week , they need to meet their transport , 200.00 needed . Your support is greatly appreciated to continue this journey.

10 little ones … became orphans when mom was hit by a car . The owners had the opportunity to get her spayed , but they declined the offer, and here we are … a situation that could have been avoided, the reason … they didn’t want her to go through that , she never got a vaccine, preventatives or dewormer , lived outside all her short life .
I got them last Thursday , they are doing good , eating well and active , their p**p is terrible and they had lots of fleas .
I’m going to need your help … p*e pads, paper towels , laundry detergent and lots of milk replacement are needed . Baby food ( 1rst stage turkey/ham) also needed . This was completely unexpected.

16 puppies went on transport to start their new life, from bottle puppy to sick puppies, dumped puppies , all grown up playful and healthy !
Months of nurturing and we got great results !!

They are leaving soon !!!
Some were bottle babies , all of them pulled from high kill shelter in South Texas , they are ready for their forever homes !
This coming Thursday 18 little ones will begin their new journey. 💜

A little update on some of the “ bottle puppies “…
The cutest little things for sure ! And who doesn’t love puppy breath?
Is a lot of work , but very rewarding .
Is not just the fact of feeding them , they require dedication, teaching them how to eat on their own is a messy challenge! They need dewormer, vaccines , flea/tick treatment, lots of p*e pads , clean bedding , lots of food and lots of kisses !
Soon they will be ready to leave and find their forever family .💜
