Jenkins Forever Farm

Jenkins Forever Farm is an animal sanctuary in Indiana that provides rescue, care, love and a forever home to farmed and exotic animals.

We also promote a compassionate/vegan lifestyle. In addition to providing care for the over 100 lives that call JFF home, we also assist other organizations in many ways.

- Providing temporary foster care for animals seized by the authorities.
- Providing placement assistance for animals who need a safe, forever home.
- Partner to remove animals from hoarding situations, have them vetted and plac

ed in safe, forever homes. We also focus a lot of our time on public education about adopting, companion care, and compassionate living. As a rescue/sanctuary, we don't support breeding of any kind so we stress the importance of adopting versus shopping to our followers. We also help connect people with other organizations to help them find the perfect new family member! At JFF, we're home to 13 different species who all require different diets and habitats. We share this information so those who already share their home with that species or plan to in the future might learn something new to keep everyone healthy and happy. Lastly, we're always promoting a compassionate lifestyle which includes everything from diet to clothing to cleaning supplies. I’ve been in Arizona all weekend for work and want to say a huge THANK YOU to my awesome friend & neighbor Brittany Copeland for taking care of all our outside residents & my wonderful husband David Jenkins for taking care of all our inside babies! 💕

For those who don’t know, I work for a Nitro Funny Car team and am traveling to some of the events this year. Cruz Pedregon Racing runs our decal on their car and even donates a portion of their winnings every race!

I’m so thankful for the support our little community provides! 🙏❤️

Thank you so much to everyone who shared & voted for us in the Peterman Brothers - Heating, Cooling & Plumbing Charity Showdown! Unfortunately, we didn’t make it to the next round but we’re super excited for all the amazing nonprofits still in it! We also want to thank Peterman Brothers for being so generous and raising awareness for so many wonderful causes. ❤️

You know the saying “when it rains, it pours”? ⛈️🌪️

Sadly, we took a devastating hit from the storms Friday night/Saturday morning and lost our brand new duck/geese building. Fortunately, no one had moved in yet, so everyone is ok!

This is heartbreaking because we were finally going to be able to utilize the expansion property we’ve had in the works for years and now we’re back to square one. 💔

The building cost $4,000 and we’re going to incur even more costs to dispose of the pieces. 😭

We did reach out to our insurance company but between a $2,000 deductible & increase in future rates, it doesn’t make sense to go that route.

Yesterday was FINALLY surgery day for the baby buns we rescued last summer!

This was the longest we’ve ever had new residents without getting their life saving surgeries, but it wasn’t without reason.

To start, they were just a few weeks old when we rescued them, so they weren’t old enough for surgery. Once they were old & healthy enough, we dropped them off for their appointment only to pick them right back up because All of them had funky pre-surgery bloodwork results. 😫

We then treated them with antibiotics and eventually had them re-tested and got the all clear. By that time, our incredible Vet’s surgery schedule was booked pretty far out. It’s very important to use a vet who is rabbit savvy as they’re very delicate, so we took the next available slot which was yesterday & everything went fantastic! 🎉

It’s such a huge relief to have this done. Not only does it save them from reproductive cancer but they’ll also be able to be together as one big family again! They’ve been separated all this time to ensure they couldn’t reproduce as that would be completely counter productive to what we do and stand for. 🥰

The last piece of this adventure is paying the invoice 🥴 Fortunately for us, our vet clinic is truly in business for the animals and not for the profit. Their services are top notch yet their fees are more than reasonable. We do receive a rescue discount on top of their already below market prices so we’ll forever be grateful to them for being such an amazing partner!
