UPDATE Bane has a new home. Thank you to all our friends for sharing his story.

….Calling all Friends of GSGSR: we need an emergency foster that can train our Dog Bane. Any Trainers that volunteer will get a donation slip for their time and expenses. Bane is friendly but is one year old and a bit of a wild child. We haven’t witnessed any aggression, he likes people and is just a big very high energy puppy. He has the personality to possibly become a support dog but not a K9

A Happy Ending for R***r and Cali

R***r and Cali lost their home when their beloved owner passed away suddenly. When the shelter was called to remove them, Garden State German Shepherd Rescue stepped in to make sure that didn’t happen. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our team, both dogs are now safe and loved.

Cali found her forever home with a devoted gentleman and his wonderful family. R***r was taken in temporarily by a caring neighbor who had always loved and looked out for the dogs.

We’re thrilled to share that R***r officially went home this weekend — adopted by one of our dedicated rescue volunteers.

None of this would have been possible without the compassion of that special neighbor and the unwavering commitment of our incredible volunteers.

Thank you to everyone who helped give R***r and Cali the second chance they deserve. ❤️

Meet R***r – The Perfect Gentleman Looking for His Forever Home! 🐾

Look at this gorgeous boy! R***r is a 7-year-old, incredibly sweet and well-mannered dog who has found himself without a home after the passing of his beloved owner. 💔

R***r is a true people-lover — friendly, affectionate, and always eager to please. He previously lived with a female shepherd (who has since been adopted), and now it’s his turn to find a loving family.

Sirius is up for Adoption: Sirius has proven how smart he is and is doing great in foster with his training. Just look at the reels we posted. He walks nicely along with his new dog buddy. He needs an adopter who has time to commit to continuing his training.

Sirius is a big, sweet, plush coated GSD that loves to play fetch. He learned to bring back his ball and the reward is throwing the ball for him to go fetch. He has come a very long way and is well behaved. No small children as he is a big hunk of a dog. Sirius is young, he looks to be about 18 months old, and so very willing and able to work with his foster and trainer on anything he is asked to do.

Bane is a stunning 12-month-old long-haired German Shepherd with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He’s a super friendly, goofy boy who will keep you laughing with his silly antics and happy energy.

Bane didn’t get the attention he needed in his previous home, so his manners still need work. He’s housebroken and crate trained, but he’ll benefit from consistent training and structure to help him grow into his best self.

Because he’s still learning how to behave around other dogs, slow introductions are a must, and we recommend a home without young children for now.

Bane is wishing for:

**A securely fenced yard to explore

** Daily long walks or hikes

**A stash of water, toys and balls

**A fun, active, and dog-savvy human ready to continue his training.

Blue is a 16-week-old, all-black German Shepherd with a heart as big as her floppy paws! She’s a sweet, goofy, and lovable girl who’s ready to find a forever home where she can thrive.

Blue has a playful personality, tons of love to give, and the classic GSD smarts—she’s sure to be a loyal companion with the right guidance and love.

Blue’s Dream Home Includes:

A fenced-in yard to zoom around and safely explore.

Older children (ages 5 and up) – she’s still teething and can be mouthy like all puppies.

A friendly male dog buddy to help teach her the ropes.

A stay-at-home parent or someone who works from home – she needs time, attention, and structure.

Blue will do best with a family committed to continuing her training and socialization so she can grow into the amazing adult dog she’s meant to be. Note GSGSR requires basic training for puppy adopters.

Update: Sweet Amoura has as foster parent and is now ready for an adopter

Meet Amoura—a name that truly suits her! This affectionate, 1.5-year-old girl is in urgent need of a foster home. Due to unforeseen hardships, her family—who now lives in a small apartment with four young children—can no longer provide the space or time that Amoura needs.

Amoura currently spends most of her time in a crate, only getting out for short potty breaks. Despite her circumstances, she remains sweet, gentle, and full of love. She's:

Dog-friendly (both with small dogs and dogs her own size)

Kid-friendly

People-friendly

Likely cat-tolerant (with proper introduction)

A big fan of fetching sticks and being around people

Amoura is not yet spayed, so she will need to go into foster care before we can move forward with her vetting.

Can you open your heart and home to foster Amoura? GSGSR will provide everything she needs—food, crate, medical care—so all you need to give is your time and love.
