In 2013 surrendered dog Lily started it all when she unexpectedly gave birth to a litter of 5 puppies. Kenny and Judy Fisk were really sad their dog had recently gone to the Rainbow Bridge. When they heard about Animal Lovers they started visiting Lily every day. Judy and daughter Katie became volunteers when they started helping with Lily and the puppies. Kenny fell in love with Lily and adopted her once she could leave her pups. When he learned we had lost our space at Main’s Market he offered Animal Lovers a home on their property and moved us there. Animal Lovers of Edisto Canine Rescue is forever appreciative and grateful. Without the Fisks Animal Lovers might have closed.

Poppy, 2012. We had no room for him so Margaret kept him in her home until space available. He never left and was greatly loved until he went to the Rainbow Bridge in April, 2022, due to enlarged heart and collapsed trachea when meds stopped working. We miss him every day!

This is Lily with her litter of puppies born at the original Animal Lovers located on property next to Main’s Market, now Eddingsville Grocery. Lily was visited almost daily by Kenny and Judy Fisk who recently lost their much loves pet. They adopted Lily. She is the reason Animal Lovers has a home on their property. Continued thanks to Kenny and Judy!
