Tonight was our company Christmas party. And Dr. Rowland is incredibly generous and we are so grateful to her! We had a great dinner… Lots of fun with the dirty santa gift exchange… And then shopping at Metro!

If an animal eats a ribbon or string, they can get what is called a Linear Foreign Body. Which just means that there is a long piece of string (or a sock, or fabric from a towel/blanket) that stretches through the intestines.

We had done our fair share of surgeries to remove these from pets, so lets really help keep them safe! If you want to read more about this condition, here is an article that explains. Trigger warning on images!!!

Today we have a new 4th year veterinary student working her an internship at our hospital!

Meet Jordan Wampler. She is a student at Oklahoma State Vet school and will graduate this coming May! We are excited to be a part of her learning rotations!

Jordan will be with us through December 6th, so please be sure to say hi if you get a chance to meet her!

Have you ever seen this? It is painful for pets and happens in BOTH dogs and cats! Typically caused by an ear infection, so it is important to watch your pets for those signs!!!

We are HUGE fans of microchips around here. It is the best chance of your pet getting returned to you if they get loose! If you are not sure if your pet has a microchip, you can bring them to our office to be scanned at anytime for free!

Be sure to update your information with the microchip company if you move or change phone numbers. Lets give your pets the best chance of returning back to your family!
