We are helping with a stray Mastiff that was found in a neighborhood in S Oklahoma City/Moore area - off Western south of I-240. He has been staying on the porch of one of the homes for the last 2+ weeks and none of the neighbors had ever seen him before. Efforts to find his family have not been successful and they think he was dumped in the neighborhood. They contacted us for help and to keep him safe. He had no collar or microchip. If you know anyone missing a young male Mastiff from this area, please send them our way. If someone is missing this boy we would like to get him home!

We are getting many requests to take in new Mastiffs but no fosters available for them to come in! If you have ever considered fostering, now is a great time. We provide all of the veterinary care and any supplies that are needed. You provide the home and the love! And if you fall in love and decide to adopt your foster dog, that is OK too! We are thrilled to announce that we achieved our Fall in Love Fundraiser goal! We were able to raise $3000 which means another $3000 that is being matched. Thank you to everyone who donated to our cause and for the shares as well. We appreciate the support!! It goes to help dogs like our Luke here whose medical bills have been extremely high. Pupdate: Aros was adopted earlier this year by his foster parents Barb and Terry. This month he passed his Canine Good Citizen Test! Way to go Aros!

Maggie Mae had her last 2 injections for her heartworm treatment this week and she is getting some much needed rest! We can't overstate the importance of heartworm prevention, we get so many Mastiffs with heartworms and it is so easily prevented with a monthly pill.

Welcome Mo to rescue! He was rescued from a shelter in MO and is about 1-2 years old. He needs to complete his vetting and gain some weight before he will be available for adoption, but he's too cute not to share! Once we learn more about him he'll be posted on gpmr.org

Pupdate from Alumni Hoss!

“I'm doing GREAT at my new forever home. It's been 5mos, and I'm finally feeling secure in my pecking order! To mum's dismay, I still counter surf when I'm anxious. There's something about gnawing a full loaf of pilfered bread that settles me nerves. Mum took me to the doctor because she could tell that I wanted to settle, but just couldn't. The doc gave me some medications that helps me. That stuff rocks. And don't get me started on this stuff that mum gives me when it thunderstorms! Total game changer. Mum installed a camera in the kitchen that lets her correct me while "in the act." It freaks me out because I don't know from where her voice is coming. She thinks that's hysterical and I can hear her laughing through the cam.

Me dad's been out of town on business the last 3 weeks putting food in my bowl. I'm not sure he's going to understand that his side of the bed is now MY side of the bed. I sleep RIGHT next to mum just like him. I like sharing her pillow and breathing into her neck. She says I'm too furry and it's too hot for me to be "spooning," whatever that means.

I've gotta bounce. My pitbull brother is waiting for me to play. He's an old dude, so I go easy on him. I feel like I've known him my whole life.”
