"My boy was a mere 16 years, 1 month, and 2 weeks of age. I had him since he was only a week old. He was my momma’s boy and I miss him tremendously.
A verse from a song…
“The other night, dear
As I lay sleeping
I dreamt I held you in my arms
When I awoke, dear
I was mistaken
So I hung my head and cried”

Rest easy, sweet Frankie 🧡🤍

We are excited to welcome Dr. Erin Hassett to the C4P team! 💙

A little bit about Dr. Erin:

I was born and raised in Chicago and completed my degree at the University of Illinois in 2010. After graduating, we enjoyed ten wonderful years in southern California. In 2021, our family moved back to the Chicago area, but after some soul searching, we ended up in the beautiful PNW.

I had worked in private practice since receiving my DVM. I soon learned that my true passion was connecting with the people and pets I was lucky enough to meet along the way. I have always worked in small hospitals, and when it came time to say goodbye, it was always very difficult to create an environment that I felt was quiet and respectful enough to really surround a family with the overwhelming love that they deserve in such a tender and painful moment.

In 2024, our own 15 year old beagle, Gia, was suddenly facing an emergency overnight. I knew it was time to say goodbye but I knew that I couldn't be involved in the process. I desperately searched at 3am, sitting with her in my bathroom, and ended up turning to a group of veterinarians that I know and trust. They all turned me to Dr. Sara at C4P and I could not have been more grateful for the tender love, care and respect we were shown in our time of need. It took me very little time to realize that this was the sign that I was waiting for, and this is what I was meant to do. I contacted Dr. Sara again, and the rest is history. I could not be happier to have joined this wonderful team and to have been given this amazing opportunity to provide such a gift to families who have to face such a difficult day. I will continue to strive to make such a horrible moment as fear free and stress free as possible so that each family and pet can only focus on their love for each other.

I live in Everett with my husband, our twins, our morkie, Marty McFly, and our terror…I mean terrier, Zelda. When I’m not working, I enjoy cooking, baking, crafting, and watching scary movies. Our family is enjoying getting to know the PNW and we are all learning about being more outdoorsy, but when we’re not, we’re usually doing something nerdy or Disney related.

More pets go missing on the 4th of July than almost any other day of the year. Fireworks can be terrifying for our furry family members, so now's the time to make sure you're firework-ready—safe, secure, and comforting.

If your pet needs medication to help manage stress, be sure to reach out to your veterinarian a few days in advance. Let’s help keep our pets safe and calm this holiday. 🐾💙🎆

At Compassion 4 Paws, we understand that every pet holds a unique place in your heart, and their final resting place should reflect that. Our linen bag and eco urns are included in the price of the private cremation and provide a lasting tribute to your faithful companion.🐾

Every family is offered a complimentary clay paw print and fur clipping, giving your family a way to hold on to these precious memories for years to come.🩵

Our team is here to support you through each step, answer any questions, and ensure that the memorials you choose are a fitting tribute to your beloved pet. Please visit our website or contact one of our Care Coordinators. It’s our honor to be here for your family during this time 🌈

Compassion 4 Paws is honored to offer a gentle and environmentally friendly aftercare option for your beloved pets—water cremation, also known as aquamation or alkaline hydrolysis.

In this process, your pet is lovingly placed in a specially designed chamber filled with warm water and natural minerals. This gentle method mirrors nature’s way of returning life to the earth, allowing tissues to break down naturally while preserving the bone. The remaining water is safe for the environment and reintroduced to the earth, ensuring a peaceful and respectful transition. 💙

At Compassion 4 Paws, we believe that the love you shared with your pet lives on forever. We are here to support you during this difficult time by providing a meaningful and compassionate farewell. 🌈

If you have any questions about aquamation, please visit our website or connect with a Care Coordinator to learn more. 🐾
