"Even as we remain devastated by the untimely loss of our beloved Penny, we do want to thank your organization for the extra effort in getting someone to us as soon as possible, and we are especially grateful that that person was Dr. Black. He was the perfect combination of doing what needed to be done, gently assisting Penny out of her misery, but with a genuine and compassionate understanding of how hard it was for us to let her go.

Penny’s life was only 9½ years, but in the 9 of those years that we were lucky enough to share with her, she fully knew that she was loved and treasured every single day. She was beautiful, feisty, strong and fast, and so, so smart. We’ll see you on the other side, our perfect little Penny. "

Rest easy, sweet Penny 🖤🩶

“Ellie came into our life 12 years ago along with her brother Ernie when they were 4 months old in 2012. She lived to be almost 13 years old. She was a master at solving food puzzles, and would give everyone kisses. She enjoyed chasing the rabbits in the yard and laying in the sunshine. She loved going wherever her family was going, and always said “yes” to adventure. Whether it was a walk down the street, car ride, hike, or paddle boarding, Ellie wanted to be there. She loved being part of the pack.

In the last few years she napped more and more, but never turned down a walk. Naps were just a way to make sure she was ready for whatever was coming next. The evening before she passed away, she was having trouble getting up before falling asleep for the last time. Ellie passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family.”

Rest easy, precious Ellie 🤎☀

Happy National Sibling Day!

Today we celebrate the bond between our pets—the quiet companionship, the playful moments, and the way they fill each other’s lives with love.

Whether they’re bonded from birth or brought together by love (and maybe a little chaos), our pets remind us that family comes in many forms. 🩵

We’d love to see your cherished photos of pet siblings, past or present. Please feel free to share a favorite memory or picture in the comments. 🐾

At Compassion 4 Paws, we’re honored to offer a gentle, eco-friendly way to say goodbye—water cremation, also known as aquamation.

Designed to gently emulate nature’s own path, this method allows tissues to break down while preserving the bone 💙

We know how much your pet means to you, and we’re here to help you say farewell with love and care. 🌈

If you have any questions, or for more information, please visit our website or reach out to connect with a Care Coordinator. 🐾

Compassion 4 Paws is proud to announce Comfort Care! 🐾

What is Comfort Care? Dr. Sara and her team provide personalized comfort care tailored to each pet's specific needs, working closely with the family to create a plan that fits. Since every pet is unique, each care plan is customized, sometimes including medications for pain and nausea as well as nutritional advice. Being in the pet's home allows us to better observe their true comfort or pain levels. Additionally, in-home visits give us the opportunity to suggest improvements to their environment. We will also perform a quality-of-life assessment during the visit, equipping you with the tools to evaluate your pet’s discomfort and help you decide when the time is right to say goodbye. 🌈

For questions or for more information on our Comfort Care consultations, please reach out to speak with a Care-Coordinator. 🩵
