Summertime greetings and keep cool wishes to you all! It's been a fun and full season for us and I'm pleased to get a minute to share some photos by Sister and Sister Photography and Events of our Partnership Strengthening Clinic at Westside Stables earlier this year. It was a lovely weekend of connection, communication and community! How much better can it get?

Merry Holidays to you and yours! May this time of reflection, connection and quiet bring you much inspiration and clarity to step into the upcoming year with confidence and grace!

Caitlin and I are very excited to announce the dates for a couple of our workshop offerings in 2023, including:

1) Our 3 part series on Connection, Communication and Partnership with horses begins with Part 1 March 25-26. This experience of work as a group will span 6 months in which we will meet for 3 weekends and three different locations to fully immerse ourselves in horse time and teachings.

2) Our Introduction to Connection and Communication with Horses workshop at Fay Ranch in Duvall, WA April 15-16. This workshop offers a blend of classroom and hands on time with horses in an experiential learning format and benefits the feel and awareness of any level of horseperson.

Wow, what a year it has been! As the season turns to the last of 2022 I find myself filled with gratitude and hope in response to reflecting on all that came to pass this year. Caitlin and I tried a couple new formats and locations and of course it didn't all go quite as planned, but the journey to discovering what the moments had to teach was very rich indeed!

One of the new formats we tried out was a 3 part series of workshops taking participants all the way from skills to begin an interaction with an equine to developing and experiencing a partnership with a horse in hand and under saddle. Here's our first group of participants on the last day of the final workshop. I think those smiles say it all! It was an amazing and empowering experience for me as a teacher to say the least and I took away a renewed sense of curiosity and awe at all that horses inspire and offer to us through connection, communication and partnership.

Caitlin and I have begun planning our workshop offerings for 2023 and will announce more about our plans very soon so those of you feeling called to join us can get signed up! What I can share at this time is that our offerings will include:

*a 3 part series
*an intro to connection and communication with horses
*a continuing mastery workshop for those who have already attended one or more with us before
*a monthly group lesson for youth
*online educational offerings

Happy Wednesday! Springy weather has me very excited for all the fun plans Caitlin and I have for workshops this year including expanding our reach to include youth participants and new locations! I have had the honor as a teacher to take part in some incredible and inspiring horsemanship journeys over my 15+ years of working as an instructor and trainer. This year I'll be sharing some stories about the wide range of students of the horse I work with to celebrate the unique way horses influence and encourage connection.

Client Spotlight #1🌟 Barbara Hinshaw🌟

Barb is a lifelong horsewoman who has always spent as much time as possible with horses. At one point she worked as an equine professional leading pack strings for a living. She first came into my life as a client of my mom Terri back in 2010ish looking for some additional tools and assistance working with her then young and green icelandic horses that had some puzzling behaviors.

Ever since then Barb has taken lessons and ridden in clinics along side me and I'm so grateful we have shared so much of our horsemanship journeys together! Her horses have come a long way to the point where both have even been my teaching partners a time or two. She has two delightful mares named Stulka and Lil who have taught me a lot about partnering and working with icelandic horses. Barb has a beautiful connection with each of them and her dedication to continuing to learn how to be the best partner possible for both unique horses is an incredible inspiration to me.

Thank you Barbara and may the richness and fun of your horsemanship journey ever deepen and grow!

Hello all! I am very excited to announce that my co-teacher Caitlin and I are expanding our workshop offerings this year to include an immersive learning experience of a 3 part series! Subjects include all the insightful, rich, experiential content of our previous workshops plus more hands on ground work, riding, simulations, practice, support and growth potential in a small group setting. We look forward to sharing even more of what we know, love and are empowered by in being and working with equines in 2022 and beyond!

After two weekends of equine connection and communication workshops I'm feeling fulfilled on new levels as well as inspired in unexpected ways! Caitlin and I hosted 2 exceptional groups of humans that made beautiful connections with new equine teachers in a way that was mutually beneficial and enlivening through and through. The horses love it when you meet them at their pace and take time to learn their "language."

Here are some glimpses into our workshop held at Ekone Ranch at the end of September. We will be announcing dates for our 2022 workshops before the end of this year so stay tuned for even more opportunities to learn from the horses with us!

ISO stable and property to lease or one that has room for an instructor/trainer and their year round healthy and growing business.

Amenities I'm looking for in a place:
-within 30 mins drive time of Edmonds Woodway Highschool (I live next door) so Bothell, Brier, Redmond, Woodinville, Maltby, Cathcart, Clearview, southern Snohomish
-space for 4-6 horses with a shelter/stall attached to a mud free paddock 24/7 then daily pasture turnout option
-covered arena at least 60x120 with well maintained footing
-bridle trails around property or access to trail system from the property
-hot and cold wash rack
-heated bathroom
-well lit cross tie/grooming area
-friendly and professional atmosphere where all disciplines, breeds, and levels of horse and horse person are welcome

I'm not in a rush, but could move as early as the fall if the right place shows up. Any info and all shares are very welcome!

I'm very excited to announce that my teaching partner and co-facilitator Caitlin Jones and I are bringing our Equine Connection and Communication workshop to the west side of Washington for the first time this spring! The in person portion of this 2 day workshop will be held at the delightful Westside Stables in Mount Vernon. Dates are April 17-18th.

Hello all! Feels like spring today and that makes me excited for more comfortable weather for enjoying time with horses!

I'll be signing up and submitting videos for several classes in the Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center Margo O'Callaghan Memorial Virtual Dressage show this March and I'm excited for the opportunity! 2020 was the year that no one predicted, and one of the events we missed at Little Bit, was our annual Margo O’Callaghan Dressage Show. In 2021 we are excited to provide our riders, other therapeutic riding centers, and riders from the wider dressage world, with a fun, safe, virtual show.
