Cory is back from vacation and traveling and is focusing on a new project — teaching you how to breed fish for profit at home. He got some assorted guppies from the store, and his goal is to breed some giant-sized "whale guppies." He's also testing out some new products like the AquaClear AC Series hang-on-back filters so he can give you his honest review of the pros and cons. The 800-gallon aquarium finally has some fish inside, so keep watching to see what future plans Cory has in store for it.

Here is your reminder to order plants. Sunday orders ship out on Monday for the shortest delivery times. My personal pick of the week is Pogostemon Stellatus Octopus. Easy to grow, fast growing, great for baby fish and bettas. Looks different in your tank from other plants. https://www.aquariumcoop.com/collections/live-plants

Sword plants have fallen from their glory of 30 years ago, but don't sleep on them! Sword plants aren't just amazon swords and are amazing for people with busy schedules. You can feed them once a month with a bunch of root tabs then just let them thrive. Outside of feeding them a bunch of root tabs, they thrive when left alone.

They get big and fill in a background of a tank nicely. Come in quite a few varieties, so you can plant 1 every foot or so across the back of your tank and in 3-4 months have a jungle back there for fish to enjoy.

You can pair this with crypts up front and have a tank that doesn't really need trimming, just a bunch of root tabs or nutrient rich substrate. Don't put the light levels up too high and you won't have much algae either.

I'm definitely considering putting some in the 800 gallon and see if I can grow some monsters. But also need to make a contraption to get root tabs in from 5 feet away lol.

Here is a link to our sword plants, most of them are all considered easy to grow. https://www.aquariumcoop.com/collections/live-plants/type_sword-plants

The 800-gallon monster aquarium got polished to remove all the Mbu puffer teeth scratches, and it looks so much better on video. Now it's time to reset the tank with bleach to get rid of the black beard algae and java moss. Cory also talks about the other, most recent changes to the fish room while feeding one of his favorite fry and shrimp foods to all the tanks.

The 800-gallon aquarium has finally been moved, opening up more entertainment space in the other room. Cory is thinking of putting clown loaches and Congo tetras in it, but first the scratches in the acrylic need to get professionally buffed. He's also been busy testing a new micro krill pellet and bleaching some of the tanks to remove algae and excess java moss. Cory definitely has plans to get more fish though, so what do you think he'll get next?
