****The ambulance has been located. It is damaged, non-driveable and most all supplies stolen from it.****

EMERGENCY. The SVO ambulance was stolen from our parking lot this morning at 7am. Please everyone share quickly! This is devastating to the good work SVO does.

You may notice the ambulance parked in our secondary parking lot next door.

We are proud to support Seattle Veterinary Outreach by renting them parking and storage space for their supplies.

SVO is a mobile outreach veterinary service, providing vet care, pet food and pet supplies to our low income and unhoused neighbors in the Puget Sound.

Our manager Christie, and Drs Emery and Weeks have all volunteered their time to this wonderful non-profit. You can check out SVOs page and website for more info on what they do.

We accept donations of gently used pet supplies, food and medication here at Woodhaven.

Have you heard? We have a new emergency option in Lynnwood. Veterinary Emergency Group opened in Lynnwood and Seattle today, following the recent opening of their Redmond hospital.

If you haven’t heard of them, check out their Facebook and website pages! You can stay with your pet in the big open-concept treatment room, even spend the night!

And they see exotics! Our very own former veterinary assistant, Savannah, is now Dr. Norton and is ready to help you at VEG Lynnwood.

We had quite the unique visitor to our parking lot yesterday. A river otter! While we have never seen one here, we've learned it isn't abnormal for them to move up small bodies of water and be seen in neighborhoods occasionally.

Our computer system is back up!

We sadly lost all of the work from Monday the 16th. If you called us that day and made an appointment in the future, we won’t have it on the schedule when you come. Please be patient as we work you in!

If you called and asked a question, requested a refill of medication or made any other request, we won’t have any record of it, so we may not respond like we always do. Call us again and we will get on it.

We have had a significant hardware failure on our server. We currently do not have access to our patient software or document folders. New parts are coming this week, and we request your patience and understanding in the meantime, as we navigate having very limited information to work with.

This week is National Veterinary Technician week, where we celebrate the education, skill and career of being a Veterinary Technician.

Our team recently had the great fun of hosting Krissy, Dr. Creason's niece from Germany. She is a veterinary technician back home, but the skills she is allowed to do vary from WA state Technicians.

Our team had great fun teaching her many things, including ultrasound-guided cystocentesis and drawing blood from the jugular. Molly, LVT, brought her pups in to be the perfect training patients. See the pics for captions and comments for a video of her first jugular blood draw!

And a special thank you to Olympic Veterinary Cardiology, Animal Vision Center LLC and Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle for also hosting Krissy on various days during her stay!

Some of you may remember Tiberius Puddles and his toe beans….he returned yesterday disguised as a duck, hoping to avoid his vaccine. It didn’t work, we’d recognize those cute tootsies anywhere!

This weekend sweet Douglas celebrated his 16th birthday! We've been fortunate enough to care for Douglas for the last 12 years and love him to bits! Happy Birthday little one!

Meet Reggie! He is our former long-time receptionist, Anne’s, new 14-week-old Norfolk Terrier! He stopped by to give Dr. Brudvik some kisses and meet the team! We love you already little one!

This weekend Dr. Emery and Christie, our Practice Manager, spent their Saturday volunteering and working with this great group, seeing pets of local Native families.

If you’ve donated pet supplies to us, this is one of the groups we help support with your generosity. We accept all pet supplies including food, toys, beds, clothes, grooming items and medications.

Introducing our first Pet of the month story!

Curly is an almost 10 year old, curly haired, miniature dachshund. She has been coming to Woodhaven since she was a tiny pup back in 2013!

Recently, Curly went through surgery for bladder stones. She is SUCH a trooper. Our team (Dr. Endicott, Dr. Allen and wonderful technicians), removed 5 large stones, along with numerous smaller ones.

Her surgery was a huge success and since then, Curly has been back to her normal, playful self.

We are so happy we were able to help Curly feel better, and feel like a spring chicken again!

Thank you to Carol and Mike for letting us make Curly our first of many amazing pets of the month.
