Hello I’m Barney!! Barney is around 1 year old and a lover of all things. Barney is around 48 lbs, but could use another 5-ish lbs. Barney came jam packed full of love to give. He is guess to be a lab/pittie mix. Mr Barney came to us after a plea for help to get him out as he was starting yo shut down. Barney was just so sad and missing the touch of a human. Barney craves being around his person, and wants to be by his person. He will lean on you, lay on you, kiss you, hug you. The cutest thing? You tell him he’s a good boy and he will just strut his stuff and prance like the happiest boy of all time! Barney is full of energy and loves his stuffy toys. He likes to hear the deeper squeaker noises and he does NOT destroy the toys! Barney is mostly potty trained and kennel trained. Barney is dog, cat, and kid friendly! Barney is a very good boy and we don’t think he would necessarily need a kennel, once his new family fully knows and trusts him. Do you have the spot in your heart to watch this boy blossom?!
Sidney is a male 9 yo Shih Tzu mix who had a pretty rough entry into our program. His owner passed and the family immediately called animal control. In one fell swoop poor Sidney lost his beloved owner and his home and his little world was completely rocked. Sidney's holiday wish is to find a new forever family to spend the rest of his life with.
Sidney loves rides in the car and a good walk which will help his social skills. He will bark at strangers, especially men and can be a bit slow to warm up. However once you gain his trust, you’ll find no more loyal and affectionate friend than Sidney. He hungers for attention and love. Your lap will never grow cold if he’s around, because that’s where he wants to be.
Sidney gets along well with other dogs of a similar size and temperament. He plays with a couple of the other dogs in foster and pretty much ignores the cats. He is completely housetrained.
Sidney is a total companion dog and is looking for an owner who spends a lot of time at home. He would be a fabulous companion for a senior. His foster works from home and Sidney makes sure she is never lonely, choosing to nap directly under her desk. When his fosters do need to leave home, he is easily gated with the other dogs in a room.

Say hello to Sassy! She is Sassy in name and Sassy in nature. She is a 12 year old miniature poodle mix with a lot of spirit! She enjoys a brisk walk and snuggling. She has excellent manners and would gladly accompany you to dog-friendly venues.
Miss Sassy is housetrained and gets along well with cats and other dogs…as long as they understand that she has no time for shifoolery. She is working on her potty training but will need a family with patience as she is still just a little girl.

We just wanted to share an update on our other litter of puppies. These guys were tossed out on the side of the road at just 2 weeks of age. One of our rescue partners took them in and reached out for our help. We had 2 foster homes step up to take on the challenge of caring for these babies. They are now 7 weeks old and doing well. We have 6 girls and 2 boys. What are they you might ask? You're guess is as good as ours. Right now we think they will be a smaller breed. Stay tuned for updates on who each of them are and when we'll start taking applications!
