Pretty special adoption today!

Your local veterinarian here in Effingham, Dr. Brittany Ishmael from Advanced Veterinary, adopted Mr. Simba today! She has been waiting patiently for this moment.

Simba battled a stubborn case of ringworm that took time, meds, and a whole lot of care to get under control. Today, all that waiting paid off and these two finally had their Gotcha Day.

Huge congratulations to Dr. Ishmael and sweet Simba. This boy landed exactly where he belongs 💕

With the cold weather fast approaching, we’re gathering old coolers or totes to make insulated shelters for outdoor cats in need throughout the area.

We pulled a picture from the internet just to show the idea of what we’re creating…

🎉 Double the Love, Double the Happiness! 🎉

Oscar and Elliott are brothers who’ve been through thick and thin together. Their original mama loved them deeply but had to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender them when a loved one developed severe allergies. 💔

Oscar, the shyer of the two, often kept to himself — so much so that we weren’t even sure if the boys were still hanging out in the shelter.

Then one night, Miss Becki caught a beautiful moment on camera: around midnight, when the other cats were fast asleep, these two had a secret rendezvous in the lobby. It was as if they were sharing stories about their day — reminding each other, “I’m still here, brother.” ❤️

Their story just got the happiest twist of all……
These bonded boys have been adopted together into a loving home! Their new mama knows the deal — and she’s 100% committed to giving them the best life side by side, forever. 🐾💞

✨ INCREDIBLE DAY UPDATE ✨

First Callie’s miracle moment… and now MILO! 😭💛

Remember Milo — the stubborn, blue-eyed fellow Miss Becki tube-fed for weeks and weeks?

We just got new photos and he is THRIVING. He’s getting chunky, he’s bossy, and he absolutely will not take “no” for an answer when he wants loving. 😂

His mama Dixie reports that he’ll climb right onto your back and if you try to move him, he somehow knows — and he just digs in even deeper. This little rascal has a whole big fat personality now.

We cannot thank you all enough for donating to get him to where he is today. Without Miss Becki, we truly don’t think he’d be alive… and without YOU, he wouldn’t be living this happy, spoiled life.

Just like Callie… he was worth saving. 🐾❤️

Thank you for helping us save them. Every single time. 🙏

💖 CALLIE’S MIRACLE MOMENT

Some of you may remember Callie — the little girl who had such a heartbreaking start in life.
As a kitten, she was cruelly abused by a child and thrown repeatedly against a wall. 💔

For a long time, Callie only trusted men… until our amazing team member Kassi, along with her life partner Devon, began working with her every single day. Their patience and gentle love have changed everything.

✨ Today — for the very first time — Kassi was able to pick her up!
No one at The Cattery has ever been able to do that before. 🥹

And now… Kassi and Devon plan to adopt her soon! 🏡💗

Please send all your good vibes that this beautiful ending becomes official.

Thank you to everyone who helped with her medical care and believed she was worth saving — because she absolutely was 💗🐾
