If you’d asked me what the hardest thing about a foster based rescue is before I got involved, I wouldn’t have thought it would be pictures. 😂😂😂

Here’s Jack!!

He’s a 10.5 yr old schnauzer/terrier/maybe dachshund mix. Jack wants to please & loves to be as close to you as possible. Don’t let his age fool you, he’s plenty playful still. He isn’t real fond of males though - human, canine or feline - so we’re searching for a female only home for him.

As are all EARS dogs, he is up-to-date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and currently on prevention for flea/tick and heartworm.

Meet Batman & Maxxy!💚🐾
These siblings are absolutely the sweetest pups! Definitely a black lab and shepherd mix - they'd be the perfect addition to your family. We estimate that they'll weigh around 40-50 # when fully grown. Each is ready for their own forever home. 💜

🫶🏼 LETTIE UPDATE! We had a follow up appointment at the U of I this week. Just a tiny bit of infection remains in one paw; but current medications, baths & ointments are working!!!! 🙌🏼. JAKE This playful & kind almost 3-yr old is ready for his furever family. Jake loves to run & play, and wants to be everyone’s best friend. He gets along with dogs, cats, children, and adults. A previous injury to his spine did cause some neurological damage that sometimes makes his back legs not track with his front. Prognosis is good for a long healthy life & it doesn’t slow him down one bit! Adoption applications can be submitted via our website.

UPDATE: Adopted!! C.A.T. is looking for a new dancing partner. 💃🏼🕺🏼 Seriously this cat is awesome. We don’t know what trauma he’s been through; but he doesn’t let that hold him back!! Just dance like no one is watching! Adoption applications can be submitted via our website.

EARS the scoop!

We are a foster-based sanctuary completely run by volunteers. All of our animals are in foster homes until they are adopted.

We post all of our available animals on Petfinder.com. We also have cats/kittens at PetSmart in Mattoon and adoption events on the first Saturday of most months at Rural King. We do meet and greets after applications are approved. Adoptions can be made at that time.
