We would like to welcome Lexy Richars our new groomer at East Side Vet Clinic in Effingham. Lexy will be working part time at Newton and part time in Effingham.

Lexy is currently also a groomer at Lickity Clips Grooming behind the Newton Vet Clinic in Newton. She has been grooming for 8 years and received her education online and through hands on experience guided by Sonja (other groomer at Newton).

Lexy is married to her husband Will. Lexy spoils her two dogs Lucy and Sky and her two cats Lenny and Eve. She handles all of the animals with the love and care she has been taught and is always eager to learn new grooming techniques.

You can rest assure that your pets will be treated with the love, care and compassion they deserve when they are groomed by Lexy!

A client's cat escaped from its carrier outside our office entrance. The cat is an orange and white male with a facial sore and was scheduled for a respiratory examination. Please contact our office with any information. Thank you!

We would like to welcome Dr. Rochelle Meteer- Oseland. Dr. Rochelle is a graduate of the University of Missouri and has been practicing mixed animal medicine since 2020. She will be running large animal calls out of East Side on Mondays and Fridays, and working with small animals on Thursdays. Call our office to schedule an appointment.

As if a total remodel wasn’t enough of a change we got an office cat!! For those of you that haven’t been in the clinic in the past couple months, MEET CHUCK!! Chuck is approximately 13 years old and started her life as a barn cat. She has made herself at home here at the clinic and can be seen sitting on the front desk on a daily basis. Here’s some pictures of Chuck’s life….

Let’s Celebrate!!!! Today Dr Haarmann worked cattle in the barn at East Side for the first time in a year. As most of our large animal farmers know, Dr Haarmann has cut his schedule (he no longer is seeing small animals) and is working only on Mondays and Wednesdays. Here’s the finished product!!! It’s been a full year since construction started and we are finally running in the whole clinic. We will start doing cattle work again soon. I hope you enjoy the pictures.
