These vibrant little schooling fish are a favorite for community aquariums! Known for the striking black “harlequin” triangle on their bodies, Heteromorpha Rasboras are peaceful, hardy, and full of personality.

🌊 Quick Facts:

Size: Up to 2 inches

Temperament: Peaceful, great for community tanks

Schooling: Happiest in groups of 6+

Tank Needs: 10+ gallons, soft slightly acidic water preferred

Diet: Omnivores – enjoy quality flakes, pellets, and live/frozen treats

Fun Fact: Their shimmering copper-pink bodies really pop against dark substrate and plants! 🌿✨

Heads up, friends! This Saturday, October 4th, parts of Jefferson Avenue will be closed to parking during the Ham City Fall Festival. 🚧

🚫 No parking will be allowed on parts of Jefferson Avenue during our business hours (10am-6pm )as the road will be filled with food, fun, and festival-goers.

✨ But don’t worry! Our customers can still park behind the store so you won’t miss out on your weekend shopping or your pets’ favorite goodies 🐾.

Join us downtown October 4th for some fall fun!

🍂The Second Annual Ham City Fall Fest is almost here, and downtown Effingham is turning into one big pumpkin patch on Saturday, October 4th! 🎃

We’re kicking off the day with our FallFest 5K Run/Walk at 10 AM 🏃‍♂️, followed by an incredible Downtown Brunch to fuel up at 10:30. By 11 AM, the streets come alive with our Kids Corner, live music, food, and beer flowing all day long. 🍻🍁

Think hay bales, pumpkins, music drifting through the streets, and the best kind of small-town celebration where neighbors, families, and friends all come together. ❤️
