Meet Mama Fire House, an incredibly sweet and affectionate cat on a mission to find her forever home. She came into our care after a first responder discovered her in an elderly woman's home, where she had just given birth and had nowhere to go with her kittens. Mama Fire House is a gentle soul who would thrive best in a calm and loving environment. Since she was found outside, she tends to be quite timid around other cats and would do best as the sole feline in her new home.

Mama Fire House is a truly loving cat who is eager to share her affection. If you are looking for a new, devoted feline friend, Mama Fire House could be the perfect match for you!

As always, all cats available for adoption are spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, tested for feline aids and feline leukemia, and come with a free 10-day vet exam.

Meet Ronald—a charming and friendly feline searching for his forever home. Ronald is a gentle soul who would thrive in a patient and loving environment. Unfortunately, he was recently returned to the shelter because he did not get along with his littermate, George. We believe Ronald would be happiest as an only cat, which would help him avoid any potential stress. Like many cats, Ronald enjoys taking long naps and spending his days lounging. He'll even let you rub his belly! With plenty of treats and affection, Ronald will quickly become your loyal companion. If Ronald sounds like the perfect match for you, please visit the shelter today!

As always, all cats available for adoption are spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, tested for feline aids and feline leukemia, and come with a free 10-day vet exam.

Meet Bernie!

Bernie is an incredibly sweet and energetic young boy, just over a year old. This playful bundle of joy is always ready for adventure and fun. Being so young, Bernie is full of energy, so he would thrive in an active household that can keep up with his playful nature. He especially loves playing with strings and balls!

Bernie craves attention and affection, making him the perfect companion for someone ready to shower him with love. However, Bernie would prefer to be the only cat in the home, as he can be a bit grumpy around other felines. If you're looking for a loving, energetic friend, Bernie come by our shelter to meet him!

Oh my goodness! Because of all of our supporters, we beat our fundraising goal and raised $5968.11 for Copper! Thanks to all of you, he can have his surgery, and we will be able to over any additional expenses that may arise out of his care! Thank you, thank you, thank you, and hope to see those of you who are local at Whisker Wonderland this coming Saturday!

UPDATE!!!
WE ARE INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL TO EVERYONE WHO HAS CONTRIBUTED TO OUR GIVING TUESDAY CAMPAIGN--THANKS TO YOUR GENEROSITY, WE'VE EXCEEDED OUR GOAL AND RAISED $2854 AS OF THIS MORNING! If anyone would still like to donate to help us get closer to the total cost of Copper’s surgery, which is $5,000, there’s still time to make a difference this Giving Tuesday. Every dollar raised to cover Copper’s surgery allows us to dedicate more resources to the care of the other 280 cats in our community. Thank you for your continued support!

This Giving Tuesday (December 3rd), we’re reaching out to ask for your help in giving Copper, a sweet, loving 4-year-old cat, a second chance at life. Copper came to us from a Riverside County rescue group, where Copper faced the heartbreaking risk of euthanasia due to a serious medical condition—a previously broken left front leg that never received treatment and healed at a 90-degree angle.

When Copper arrived at Friends of Cats, we immediately consulted both our primary veterinarian and a specialty surgeon to determine the best course of action. While amputation was initially considered, the specialist believes there’s a strong chance we can save and straighten Copper's leg through surgery. This specialized procedure, which involves placing a metal plate and screws that will stay with Copper for life, comes at a cost of $5,000.

Our goal is to raise $2,500 to help cover a significant portion of the surgery expenses. Your donation can make a world of difference for Copper. With your support, we hope Copper will enjoy a long, happy life full of purrs, playtime, and maybe even a few adventures where his leg sets off airport security!

Please consider making a donation through our PayPal link to help Copper take his first steps toward recovery!
