I've been watching my Jane Killion DVDs again (Puppy Culture), and I just can't say enough about her and her training methods. They are awesome!!!! I worked a short lesson with Charlie, and then put him in his crate for a nap. The results are amazing. If you haven't yet bought your own DVDs I can just say they are well worth the investment and are a game-changer in your relationship with your dog(s). I'm rereading her book, When Pigs Fly, too. Good stuff.

Our good friends Angelica and Jesse puppy-sat Charlie for us yesterday while we attended our Tribal Gathering, and though he'd never met their dogs nor been there before, he showed his outgoing confident nature and had a ball! Score another point for his socialization program! Here he is playing with his Aunt Dixie and her roommate.

In keeping with socializing Charlie until he finds his forever family, we hosted a young girl today who has always loved Dalmatians but never met one in "person". It was a surprise from her mom for her 10th birthday! She, and her 1 1/2 year old brother, enjoyed being surrounded by Charlie and his grandparents, mom, and aunt. All had a great time!

The Robertsons took Pepper home a week later than the others. They have had many Dalmatians over the years, and we know Pepper landed in a great home. (I still cried😢LOL!)

Until he finds his forever home we will be socializing Charlie with experiences like going to the car wash. He did fabulous!
