Thanksgiving is fast approaching and we know your pups will be drooling over all the yummy foods! Here is a chart of the foods that are okay to share and not okay to share so you can an avoid a trip to the vets office with an upset tummy around the Holidays.

Today our good friend Kathy Howe Daily stopped in to go over proper and safe restraining methods for dogs and puppies.

Why is proper and safe restraint so important? We like to ensure both the safety of your pets, our medical team, as well as you as the owner. Proper restraint is a vital tool of making sure your pup remains still and calm for exams and procedures so they can get the best care possible.

Muzzles are also a vital tool in restraint and is never intended to put a “bad dog” stamp on your pup. When dogs are fearful, painful, or just unsure a natural instinct is to bite. We do this fully for safety precautions for our team, you as the owner (because believe it or not, they will bite their owners) and to protect your pup from having a record of biting someone.

We do our very best to keep our patients happy and less stressed while visiting our clinic. 💜

We would like to introduce our newest member to the EAC team!

Hi, my name is Chelsie! I’ve been at EAC for a few months now. I started my veterinary medicine adventure at Equine Surgery and Medicine for over three years. I grew up with the love of animals and always knew I wanted to work in vet med. I love helping all animals but love horses and cattle the most. I have finished some of my veterinary technician schooling and furthering my education now!

In my free time you can find me spending time with my husband and two kiddos. I enjoy spending time on the ranch and seeing the new baby calves, running the kids around for sports and most of all barrel racing. You can also find me snuggled up with my two corgis! I am also a Certified Equine Massage Therapist! I enjoy raising and training horses.

Can’t wait to meet everyone and get to know all of our clients!
