It is tick season! We have been seeing a lot of our feline fur friends with a disease called Cytauxzoonosis. This disease is transmitted by ticks and is feline specific. A good way to prevent the spread is to keep our feline friends on prescription flea and tick prevention. Call us with any questions or concerns.

Signs to look for include:
• lethargy
• dehydration
• high fever
• decreased appetite
• pale gums

This sweet boy is looking for a home! He was dumped out near Leon and was very scared. A Good Samaritan got him to us and we neutered, vaccinated and got him on heart worm and flea and tick prevention. We are covering the costs for his care as we just want to see him in a good home. He is 32lbs and is 5 months old. Very friendly but scared!
