A little bit of organizing made this space a lot more accessible and useful. It still needs more work before it's complete, but it's a major improvement. 1 = approximately how the space started. There were about four more stacks of boxes, but by the time I thought to document my progress I had already cleared them out; 2 = after about five hours worth of work; 3 = after about two days worth of work. All the boxes on the floor in 3 are books that teachers can take to their classrooms. Books on shelves are textbooks and workbooks organized by subject then grade level. I didn't touch the boxes up top, but I would use that space for lighter materials that don't need to be accessed as often. Once the boxes on the floor in 3 are cleared I would place the free floating metal shelf in the middle of the room (not pictured) rather than where it currently is because it blocks a whole section of shelf.
