Velvet has lots of faces and all of them are adorbs. 🥰 She was listed as two but we are leaning middle aged. She’s fixed, chipped, vaccinated, Heartworm negative, but on meds for an ear infection. She has not been dog tested but didn’t like a young female she was introduced to. She’d be suitable for an older family as she seems older and on the calm side. If you know a good fit for Velvet, send them our way. Vet reference and contract required for adoption.

An update on the pups from the pit. Sane has had a bit of a setback on his surgery but we’re hoping time heals his wounds. Charming and Lucid are both doing amazing and are both available for adoption. They were reunited today and were very happy to see each other!! If you’re interested in adoption, please reach out. Both are young and healthy, fully vetted, and ready for a better home. Vet reference and contract required for adoption .

Freedom ride for Serena! Serena is a 5 yo (estimated) Labrador retriever or possible mix. She seems pretty Labby. She is friendly and most likely house trained. She ended up in the shelter but now she’s out and looking for a family that will keep her for real this time. She is fully vetted, dog and people friendly, though she appears to be looking for her family at times, and heartworm negative.

Freedom ride for Velvet! Velvet has been sitting in our shelter since the 7th of July. Maybe a fireworks escapee that was never reclaimed? Unsure but she is safe now. Shelter listed her as two I we believe closer to 5-7. She’s chill, sweet, dog and people friendly, fully vetted, Heartworm -, and looking for a family of her own. We think she’d like an older, retired couple that’ll just chill with her all day… let her sleep in the sun while they garden or drink lemonade… that sounds good to her. Vet reference and contract required for adoption. Rescues welcome.

Meet Arpeggio and Darla. Arpeggio was a stray and Darla was an owner surrender. They’re fixed, chipped, vaccinated, 4DX-, on flea/tick/HW prevention and looking for their forever home or an out of state rescue. Contract and vet reference required for adoption.

Arpeggio is a 1-2 yo (est) male who’s good with dogs and people.

Darla is 3 and also good with dogs and people.

The three found in the pit are doing ok. They all have tapeworms and Giardia so we are starting treatment for that. Leads me to believe they are all from the same home since they all look like crap. The vet said if Charming was in heat, she was barely coming in to it so they are probably either all dumped or all ran off. Either way, inside and out is a mess on all three. It’ll be a bit before we can assess them for adoptions and learn their personalities but I’ll post updates.

Meet “Capella” from ASCMV where she was impounded because her crappy owner just left her outside, running loose, day and night, rain or shine. She’s a 2-4 yo female who weighs about 70lbs. She’s dog and people friendly and fully vetted. She’s a really sweet girl and available for adoption or rescue. Vet reference and contract required for adoptions.
