This dog has been at Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley since AUGUST! Please adopt/rescue her! We have about $30 in our account right now but may take her in after the new year if we can get some funding. In the meantime, it would be ideal if she found a home for the holidays. She’s already spayed!

No Christmas miracle for Lucid or Capella as of yet. Both are still in boarding and available for adoption. Both are fully vetted and dog friendly. Both are pretty young, but old enough to hold their bladder. Capella had an issue with a super timid dog at an adoption event so stable dogs would be a better companion for her. Both did great at a 5k: non reactive and made great running buddies: both rode well in the car, though Lucid does not like to load. Both are heartworm negative and big. Vet reference and contract required for adoption. El Paso TX.

Capella and Lucid are both still available for adoption or rescue. Both are fully vetted, HW-, and on flea/tick/HW prevention. Capella is estimated at 2-3 years old and lucid is probably around 1.5-2. He is a malinois German shepherd mix, and she is most likely a German shepherd or high content mix. Both are dog friendly. Capella has been ok with small dogs but plays a little rough for my comfort. Lucid is untested but doesn’t seem to care. Capella will chase cats that run but is afraid of cats that stand their ground. Lucid is untested. Both did well with kids. El Paso TX. Vet reference and contract required for adoption.

We learned some things about Capella today that may help her find her forever home. She rides well loose in a car and she is a great running buddy. She was a little nervous around so many strangers but was non reactive and very peaceful. During the run she conducted herself well and only cut me off a few times. In her defense I am very slow. She likes pup cups and will take treats from strangers. Capella is estimated at 2-3 years old and she is fully vetted. Vet reference required to adopt.

Capella is a 2-3 yo female shepherd or shepherd mix available for adoption. She is located in El Paso TX. She has been good with big and small dogs, people, and the kids she’s met. She is fixed, chipped, vaccinated, Heartworm negative and on preventions. She had an owner that just left her outside, day and night, rain or shine, until she was picked up by animal control and ended up at the shelter. The owners never reclaimed. If you can give her a real home where she’ll be loved and comfortable, please reach out. Vet reference and contract required for adoption.
