Another year - another 4th of July. Even though illegal there will be fireworks and gun fire with little regard to how it may affect our pets and some of our friends.
Please make your plans accordingly.
The fireworks start early - start now keeping a vigilant watch on your animals.
Are they microchipped? It’s inexpensive and easy to get. Call animal services and get this done!!!
Are your fences secure?
Bring pets inside when possible.
Don’t take their tags off 2 days before the noise starts.
Pets depend on us to be responsible so let’s not let them down.

Saturday March 25th from 9:00A.M. - 3:00P.M. Lancaster Animal Shelter will be at Pet Supplies Plus located in Waxahachie with adoptable dogs.

Don't forget to stop by and take home a new bestfriend. All dogs are current on vaccinations age appropriate and microchipped. With adoption you receive a leash, collar, toys, and endless cuddles.

Microchip services are also provided for your current furry family members for $15.00. We hope to see you there!

I had a bit of a rough start, was left unattended and got into some trouble when I was younger, but I'm older and wiser now. I'm about 3 years old, I am already spayed, current on all my vaccines (Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Rabies), I'm already microchipped and I am also heartworm negative. Red, Roja, Rosso. Ohhhh I like that one. Names Rosso and I promise to bring a smile to your face. I am a complete wiggle butt when excited. I am about 10 months old, a black-mouth cur mix, and a total lovebug! Not to toot my own horn but the other dogs love me as much as I love them. I do well on my walks and enjoy spending time with the humans. I have been told I am great at hugs. Well I guess now that you know me you can call me Big Red. That's what my friends call me. So now that we are friends when are you going to bail me out of here?

Poe's the name and a puppy is what I am. I am about 8-10 weeks old and have a lot to learn about life! I am super playful, love other doggos, love kids, and love pretty much everything. There is not much I do not like. I am on the search to find someone to help me learn about life such as what not to eat, what not to chew on, and what is safe for a puppy. Are you up for the job? I still need my Rabies vaccine and to be neutered, but all that's easy enough to get done! I am very chill, and basically love to hang out. PUPDATE: Adopted 🙌🏼🦴❤️

As a child did you wish for a life-sized teddy bear that walked and cuddled with you? Well look no further! Now introducing the Luca 3000. Cuddly, fluffy, teddy bear face, potty trained, and I will even go on walks with you! What more could you ask for. I am about one and a half years old, get along with other dogs, current on all vaccinations except rabies at this time, microchipped, neutered, and technically a chow chow but identify as a teddy bear. Once upon a time I was someone's emotional support dog, but they believed I deserved better in life and rehomed me to someone that could spend more time with me. That was not their best move and now I am here. To pair me to be your teddy bear you just have to spend 48hours with me and allow me time to adjust and trust you. After that I am all yours with endless loyalty! What do you say? Should we pair ourselves for life?

Do you enjoy laughing at bloopers? You know the deleted scenes that have mistakes that are usually hilarious? Well, let me welcome you to my blooper called life. I have very expressive facial expressions. I jump around at the most random times. I thoroughly enjoy b***y scratches. I am just one laugh after the next. My cast call me Blooper. I am a Rottweiler at about a year and a half old and in search of someone to be in my movie called life. Don't worry we have plenty of bloopers to laugh at along the way. I get along with other dogs, walk on my leash wonderfully, and even know sit. I would love someone that I can send time with and maybe go on adventures with. Update..Paxon has found his furever home!!

ohhh... Hellooo... Paxon is the name. Never heard of it before. Well, it means shy and understanding both of which I am. I am very patient, well behaved, quiet, and reserved. Some may say the goodest boy around. I am a terrier mix at about a year old. I like to sit in laps, do well with other dogs, and just looking for someone to live a quiet life with. I can be a little timid at first but warm up quickly. Should we see if this works?

Do you know the muffin man? Yes, the muffin man? I hear he lives on Jewellery Lane... I am trying to hunt him down. I believe he might want me. Seems no one else does. My name is Muffin so I am hoping he will fall in love with me. I am as sweet as can be and bring comfort in times of need just like a muffin. You don't know who he is? Oh mannn.... Maybe you want me? I love people more than life itself. I get along with other dogs. I walk on my leash great. I am fun sized meaning I am not too small but not too big. My size is great to take along on adventures or even snuggle with. I am about two years old so still young but out of the puppy stage. I am current on all my shots and heartworm negative! Well, I sure hope someone wants me some time soon. It sure is getting lonely here.

PUPDATE: After Festers long stay with us and endless patience he has found his forever home ❤️

No pictures please. I am a little camera shy. Fester is what my peeps call me. I am about a year old, border collie mix, already neutered, current on all my shots, and even microchipped. The unfortunate side? They say I have heart worms. Sounds weird to me. However, they say I can be treated and live a long happy life. Can you help me with that? I mean I would repay you with cuddles, love, and endless laughs. I am a bit quirky but loving. Sweet but weird. Strange in my own way but totally normal. Its balance! I like some dogs with proper introductions. Truthfully, I just love people more. I do great on my walks and love to sniff everything. Well, how about it? Want to spend forever together?

Who said only boys can play football? I think I would be a great offensive lineman. I can knock someone down so fast! But the difference is I do it out of love and the need to be close to you not to stop you from getting a touchdown. I just want to hug you and give you a kiss or two. You can't be mad at that right? I know I know. I am working on expressing my feelings in other ways. Well, the names Stella and if I do say so myself, I am pretty spectacular. When I was first picked up, I was in pretty bad condition. I was bleeding and had cuts and scratches all over. They believe a dog may have tried to fight me. But I don't let that stop me from making new friends! Everyone is my friend if you ask me. I need some help figuring out the wrongs and rights in life. I just want to become the bestest girl there ever was. Can you help me out with that? I think we can be pretty spectacular together.
