me. The dogs who are staying with us are our #1 priority! HADI is staffed 24/7 for your dog's safety & well-being. We're locally-owned by Melina Garos, who has over 16 years' dog handling experience; she used to train Search & Rescue dogs for the Red Cross in Germany. Our main priority here at HADI is to provide a safe and fun environment for your dog. We always strive to find the right doggie playmates, so your dog has fun and friends. We watch your dog closely to make sure his/her experience playing with others will be a great one. We make sure that any dogs who are not happy (shy, older, or fearful) hang out in playgrounds and will either have a yard to themselves, or share with just one other dog. We stand behind our philosophy: No dog deserves to be kept in a kennel during the day time! It is important to us to make sure your dog will have the chance to be in or around the “action” and not feel left out or lonely. We provide high quality & nutritious food and treats. We are constantly researching food recalls or treat recalls. After the last beef jerky recall, we started making our own dog jerkies and we cook a special menu on Holidays. For dogs who refuse to eat, or don’t have an appetite, we watch them carefully and try to do everything in our power so your dog will eat. We use different kinds of canned food that we mix together and we always have home cooked ground beef or chicken on hand. In some cases, we hand feed. Some of the precious dogs we board need medication on a regular basis. We make sure your dog won’t miss any of them by using our sign off sheets. Since we know that for some dogs boarding can be stressful and scary, we provide Kong toys in all sizes, filled with either peanut butter or cream cheese to keep your dog occupied and busy. Puzzle toys are also provided for mental stimulation. Our Facility provides a kennel environment and our boarding room is filled with crates of all sizes. We do want to make sure that every dog feels safe. Some of the babies we board are happy in the large kennel area and love to communicate with their neighbors in the evening, others feel and do better in a plastic or metal crate. All dogs have bedding which we provide. You are very welcome to also bring bedding and some toys from home, so your dog won’t feel too stressed out the first 1-2 days . Our experience has shown us that it takes around 2 days for your dog to adapt to a new routine. Many other facilities do not include the things we offer in their boarding fee and will charge extra. Our prices continue to include daycare, treats, food, treat toys, etc., but in order to stay in business and provide your dog with what we believe is necessary for a healthy and happy stay with us, we have to raise our prices. Our new daily prices effective June 1, 2022 are:
$35 - 1st dog
$32 - 2nd dog
$28 - 3rd dog
A 50% deposit of the total boarding fee must be paid at the time of reservation. If you cancel within 72 hours prior to your dogs stay, you will forfeit your deposit. Long-term boarder: 1 month $1,085 (all inclusive), pay at time of reservation, cancelation 5 days prior to the reservation, 50% will be not refundable. Owner also has to provide us with a copy of his/her driver’s license and credit card. (15% OFF Military discount available.) For the following holidays, the deposit required at the time of your boarding reservation is NOT refundable: Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Also, any early pick up during these holidays is not refundable. New Daycare fee is $24 per day.

What a crazy windy day we had yesterday :/
Days like yesterday are not a pleasure to work , because our furry Friends are more in than out .
Thankfully the winds died down and we will have a beautiful sunny day and we all can enjoy the outdoors
I mentioned on Monday that I wrote an email to all the city representatives.
Haven't heard back but one person.
The Director of Animal Services called me.
The conversation was not very satisfying .
Low cost spay & neuter are backlogged.
AS has only 1 Veterinarian !!!??? I can't understand why!
City Animal Control and County Animal Control do not work together.
It's just a mess!
I also dag again and found out that at one point , City hired 2 more Veterinarians , but it sounded like , they didn't last long .
So nothing will change.
Strays will, or won't get picked up. Animal Welfare checks will or won't be done .
Back yard breeders will or won't get exposed, because it seems like the City has a problem following public media posts .
In my eyes, everything is about politics , but not for the Animals.
Disappointing!!!

So, something a little more fun than picking up the pieces that other people leave behind . ;-)
Last Sunday, I went all out of my ways and finally created "real " cookie sand not just "nuggets" 😆
We had yummy, Apple Cookies , made from scratch and with organic ingredient .
I'm so proud of myself :)
Like always, every dog gets a homemade yummy in the tummy treat 🐾🐾

Last Friday, I wrote an email to the city representatives about the Pet Problem in our city!
Especially after the rescue of 2 small dogs, found in a house with dog skeletons.
Nobody goes after those backyard breeders!
Even there is a law, but it's not getting enforced!
Just one of many who try to make an extra buck, breeding and selling.

Good Morning HADI Friends :)
And what a nice sunny start we have.
It is still a little chill, but we will warm up.
What is good, since we were dealing with so many pipe issues the last 2 weeks.
We hope, the sun will defrost the leftover ice , that didn't had a chance to really melt .
We had finally our Sunday Special , that I cancelled last Sunday because of he extra work dealing with the water and ice.
We also took more pictures , I will go through this afternoon and post.
AND THEN, we got another surprise delivered to our front gate.
4 more little puppies got dumped.
I'm beyond frustrated and angry!!!
WHY!!!!!
4 puppies, put in a similar box like the 2 puppies they dumped last year August.
Those 4 puppies also look very similar, so I strongly believe the same family is constantly breeding their dogs.
This time, I will dig deeper and I believe I have a lead to who did it.
I'm so tired of El Paso and the treatment of pets.
I hope, at least we will be able to find a rescue who can take those little beans in.
Our "dumped" bigger dogs have no chance , because every rescue is FULL!!
So, and now, I will take a deep breath, it is what it is, and keep on going

UPDATE UPDATE :p
It's been a little over a week that we are dealing with pipe problems.
Even with insulation, we had 2 broken pipes and some minor leaks.
Every day somewhere else.
Thankfully, most of it was an easy fix.
Today, water was coming out from our well-pump. A pipe popped, did not break.
Those little annoying , unnecessary things , keep us on our toes .
Francisco is all over the place fixing , covering, cleaning, while Helen and the rest of the crew are taking care of whatever else needs to be taken care off.
The weather is suppose to warm up a little , hopefully it helps to get rid of all the leftover ice in the pipes .
Cross my fingers.
and no worries, all of our dogs have fresh water daily!!
Those pipes are holding up!
I'm just a little annoyed by now and start hearing water running where no water is running ..... 😆🥹

Oh well....
I really thought we are holding up with frozen pipe problems, but today was the day :/
We have a broken pipe.
I think, even with insulation and covering everything, those many cold nights are just to much.
Thanks God, it's a pipe that needs no digging and will be easy to fix.
I feel a little defeated , because somehow I been dealing with water problems since last week.
Dirty filters , a broken washer, and now a broken pipe.
It's nothing what can't be repaired, it's just time consuming and annoying.
Hopefully you are doing fine and haven't had any issues with those cold nights .
Our dogs are out today, the sun is warming and our Friends need to steam of pinned up craziness ;-)

Had a dental and the Vet discovered that she had gun pellets in her jaw. So who knows what happened to her.
TOBIE black Senior) Sanctuary Friend . He is with us since 2014. Came from a bad hoarding situation in Chaparral. Sweet guy, but sadly, we were never able to find him a home. He was scared of almost everything .

We strive to find the right canine playmates so your dog has fun and friends. We work with your dog to make sure his/her experience playing with others will be a great one. That means we watch your dog’s behavior closely, and train or work with him or her as needed. We make sure that any dog that is shy, older, or “aggressive” either has a yard all to themselves, or shares with just one other dog.

All dogs have bedding which we provide.
