We can live with cats! These pups are reported to be CAT FRIENDLY and are either currently living with cats or have lived previously with cats and other dogs. Royce even lived with a few lizards. 🦎

From our friends at Sun City Cats, here are a few things you can do to help your community kitties this winter!

1. Provide Shelter
Community cats need warm, dry, well-insulated spaces to survive winter weather. If you’re concerned about an outdoor colony, please help them by providing shelter.
There are many online videos, such as this one, which show how to easily make a cat shelter from items you probably have around the house like plastic storage totes or Styrofoam coolers. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=f8WKpIrHevM

2. Provide extra food and water.
Cats need more calories in winter as their bodies try to stay warm. Cats also face potential dehydration when water sources freeze.

3. Volunteer with TNR organizations like Sun City Cats, El Paso TNR, and El Paso Animal Services to TNR community cats and prevent more unwanted litters.

4. Support your local TNR organizations! The more cats we can trap and neuter to control the population, the better off all our Community Cats will be.

This is Poe. He is a sweet, sweet guy looking for his forever home! He is about 1.5 years old. He has a lot of great, playful energy. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys playing with them.🐶

Poe is leash trained, does great in the car, seems to love being outside and running around. I took him to get groomed and they said he did great. ⭐️

Karina is having a really hard time in the shelter, but she truly shines at home.

In the shelter, Karina’s paws have started to become raw due to her excessive jumping, spinning, and barking. She is so stressed, and that’s no way for such a lovely girl to live.

Karina is potty trained, walks well on leash, loves to cuddle, does well for baths. She LOVES kids. She’s not necessarily a couch potato, because she respects furniture, but she’ll cozy up in a dog bed or blanket on the floor. She does snore. 😴

We believe Karina has potential to live with cats with slow introductions, and has done well with other dogs. She will need time to decompress after her stressful shelter stay, but she’ll be a wonderful companion. 🐶🐱

Karina is about 5 years old, weighs 55 pounds, and is already spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She’s located at 📍9068 Socorro Road, El Paso, Texas, open 12pm-5pm every day.

🐶📍Westside Adoption Center (5625 Confetti Drive) - 12pm to 2pm

Normal business hours will resume Tuesday, January 21st. Adoptions are free for pets over 30 lbs all month long for our Account-A-Buddy adoption event!

Oh, have you heard about Nebula? Let me tell you, this girl is a chismosa. If there’s tea to spill, she’s already sipping it—and wagging her tail about it too. She’s the type who’d read your texts over your shoulder if she could, just so she’s in the loop.

She lives for people, bacon treats, and b***y scratches. Honestly, she’s so nosy she probably thinks the world revolves around her, and honestly? She might be right. She’s potty trained, walks like a pro on a leash, and will flaunt her tricks for snacks without hesitation—classic Nebula.

Other dogs? She’s always curious, maybe a little too curious, but she’s all about playing once the intros are done. And don’t even get me started on her energy—this girl loves the outdoors and can zoom with the best of them, but she’ll also conk out for a car nap like she’s living her best diva life.

She’s bold, fun, and just a little bit extra. But hey, who isn’t? Nebula’s ready to take her sass and charm right into your home. Are you ready for the gossip queen herself?

Shauntel waited, and waited, and waited for over 300 days for a forever home. We thought that home had found her, but Shauntel is no longer allowed due to housing restrictions.

Shauntel was At Risk due to her stress before getting adopted, and will be At Risk again if she returns. Shauntel deserves a true forever home. Help us save her. We are looking for a new home for Shauntel.

Shauntel is a kind, calm, loving, snuggly dog. She has the cutest peach fuzz fur, she LOVES the car, walks like a dream on leash, and is potty trained. She’s playful and lets you win tug of war. She does well for bathtime.

With slow introductions, she does well with kids and other dogs. She’s a cuddlebug, and she’s the perfect furry life partner.

This is our wobbly boy, Ham! Ham was originally brought to the shelter to be TNR’d, but we soon realized this baby wasn’t like the other cats. He wobbles.🥺

However, he doesn’t let his wobble get him down! It just takes time to gain his balance, but he is a love bug and enjoys cuddles and being near his people.🥰 He gets along well with other cats. He can use a litter box just fine despite his balance issues! 😍

Ham is a former community cat, and can sometimes get overstimulated by pets or too much attention, so we recommend a home with older kiddos that can read his body language and respect his boundaries.🐱

Looking for the most amazing kid-friendly pup for your family? Bobby just got a 1,000% on his report card for being PERFECT. 😍

“Bobby is gentle, cuddly, and quiet. He pays no mind to other dogs, wanted to play with the cats, and is perfect on leash. He loves puppaccinos, rolling in the grass, and scratches behind the ears. 🥰

He is very well-behaved and interacts well with kids. Plays fetch, likes water, and is a happy, loving doggie. He enjoys looking out the window during car rides. He gives lots of kisses.”😘

Bobby is 11 months old and has spent half of his life in the shelter, and is STILL perfect. Imagine how he could be in a home! That’s best-boy material, right there.
