We end 2025 (year of the snake) with our Black-tailed Rattlesnake, 'Reaper', and their New Year's Resolutions 🎉:

1. Don't hide where my keepers can't find me
2. Eat more mice
3. Make people less afraid of snakes

Those are good resolutions, Reaper! Snakes are pretty cool and you 🫵🏼 should go to the El Paso Zoo to learn more about snakes and other reptiles.

One of our continued efforts is to encourage artists to take inspiration from the wildlife we work so hard to protect. We want to keep minds curious, creative, and ready to take care of nature and animals in new ways.

This is why we are proud to announce that in addition to the absolutely massive collection of student artwork on display at this gallery, we will display over 100 pieces of artwork for staff and community members to vote on their favorites during Boo at the Zoo!

Great things happen when creativity meets conservation.

Day 1 of shooting is in the books. We are equally proud and excited to announce that together with and we are working hard creating a video series that highlights female voices in

8 female artists are working teaming up with 8 staff members from the El Paso Zoo to create artwork that will benefit our local PBS affiliate. Stay tuned for more details, this is only a part of the incredible team we've assembled.
