Our Story
TheDownComforterStore.com, European Bliss Inc. is a succesful, family-owned and run company based in Los Angeles. It was founded in 2008 by Renate Craft.
Renate is from Germany and, following her move to the U.S. in 1998, she wanted to introduce a source for the highest quality down bedding from Europe. In that pursuit, she became the exclusive distributor in the U.S. for Ringsted Dun from Denmark. Ringsted Dun provides down bedding to the Danish Royal Family and now, to quality-minded customers in the US! The Craft family is very proud of its association with Ringsted Dun, for their products are environmentally consciences, and human rights and animal welfare standards (cruelty free down) are thoroughly observed and respected.
Renate travels regularly to Europe to meet existing business partners, as well as to find dedicated new suppliers for her range of specialty offerings. Some of those suppliers are long standing, efficient family bus inesses as well who contribute to the entire product line that meets the recognized worldwide standard Oeko-Tex 100. In addition, The Down Comforter Store offers different bedding and duvet cover sizes that is uniquely pleasing to European customers, and not always easy to find in the U.S. market. For that, customers now can also find high quality duvet covers Made in Germany, Oeko Tex certified.
