I thought i would make a video showing carding out a lab with the proper tools. All my desheds are done using a carding knife. I know furminator are super popular and have been for years, but they should never be used. All they do is break coat causing damage to the hair which in return will only cause more shedding. Throw them away, have your groomer stop using them. There is only a few good products on the market meant for proper deshedding.
