Local friends: I’m looking for someone to purchase bales of alfalfa from. My previous supplier retired, and it’s been a few years since I went looking. Need delivery. Any suggestions welcome! TIA

The course design at this Games is just brilliant 👌

And yes, I did break my ‘I dislike FB very much’ silence, just to express that point😂

The farm, and all of its occupants (Tilly included!), are just fine! The tornado passed right by us, about a 1/4 of a mile down the road. The horses were all dry in their stalls, with lots of hay and fresh sawdust🙂

None of the jumps were even blown over!

Thank you everyone who checked in on us!

Just some more Brio spam, because he’s wonderful🥰🤗

65x120 detached indoor with sand/fiber

Available for on-site summer half lease:

Tibet ISF (grey):

Been there, done that, from the 1.45m in Florida, to teaching riders how to jump. No history of any buck/rear/bolt. Very uncomplicated and fun. Negative-to-low blooded. Impersonates a snail most days. Occasionally ventures into ‘happy turtle’ speed. Equitation style ride, and prefers a soft contact. Can take every joke in the book, as long as you tell him ‘thank you’. Best suited for someone looking to enjoy learning from his miles of experience, and jump up to 2’6”. Prefer no showing.

Celeste (bay):

Super sporty TB mare. Has a touch of sass, so not for a beginner. Extremely honest, but…mare…so if you bury her into a jump, you better tell her she’s the queen of the world. Low-to-medium blooded. Great first jumper for someone with some miles under their belt. No history of rear/bolt, but has occasionally offered a buck after a jump she found particularly fantastic. Has very good brakes. Will not tolerate heavy hands. Best suited for intermediate+ rider looking to have a blast in the jumper ring, up to 1.0m/3’0”. No limitations, showing a possibility.

Half lease includes one free ride and one private lesson per week (8 rides total per month), and first choice of shows, if applicable. Also includes any and all necessary maintenance and upkeep. MUST be comfortable riding solo; very quiet, low key facility. Young adult atmosphere. Please message or email for more details, and feel free to share! 6️⃣5️⃣0️⃣

*Note: I will never advertise a horse as ‘no spook’. These are 1,000lb prey animals, and we need to accept that. These two are both solid citizens, and some of the safest I have to offer, but horses spook. It’s what they do.

Hey everyone, breaking my social media hiatus to put out that I have 1, possibly 2, stalls coming available. I’ll put a more official post together when I get a chance, but if you know anyone who is low-maintenance, nice, and wants a quiet place to board, feel free to pass my info along!

I’ve held off writing this, mostly because I’ve been wallowing in my own self pity for a few weeks now, not sure if a ‘next step’ is truly possible for me, in the way that I had hoped. But Bailey’s uterus decided that having a foal is not in her future, and while I knew I was rolling the dice trying to breed her at this age, it still came as a bit of a gut punch. I had these silly dreams of a ‘Fiesta Legacy’, as well as hopes that a foal would keep me clawing towards the (semi) upper levels of show jumping, but that pathway has come and gone, and now I have to forge a new one. My current plan is to return her to the show ring; she’s 16, sound, and still very happy to work. A small part of me is happy to have my girl back as my partner in crime, while I save some money and decide how to move forward. My hope is to find a well-bred filly in the states, that can fill some special shoes. If you know anyone that may fit the bill, I’m currently collecting new breeding friends to keep in touch with!❤️

posted a really lovely article interviewing last week, and it had me thinking a lot about how I pair my riders and horses. In these photos, there are two riders and three horses, all of varying levels and ages. Both riders are on newish-to-them horses, and are working on different skill sets that are a step up in the level of challenge to their riding. The one thing these horses all have in common? Regardless of training level, each of them will respond to the aids in a way that allows the rider to truly feel how they impact the horse. A ‘good’ horse isn’t always the perfectly trained schoolmaster. Sometimes it’s a green bean just learning to use his body, or the aged mare that may not use her body 100%, but will always let you know when you’re asking correctly. Most of the time, it comes down to us, as the professionals, to know when a horse (any horse!) can safely help you learn something new❤️

We ventured to Swan Lake yesterday, where Gabby and Celeste had a blast making their jumper ring debut! It was Gabby’s first time ever, and Celeste’s first off-farm adventure since 2015! They both went around like old pros, and even came away with a 5th place out of a huge 35 person class😍 As always, Swan Lake ran a super show, especially given the heat, and the liverpool option was a super fun addition!
