Giving meaning to the phrase “playing possum.” I went to let the horses out before work and saw this in the corner of Stubi’s stall. Stubi didn’t seem bothered. I stomped, banged buckets, said “hello”…. No movement. I didn’t have time to mess with it before work. So, I took this picture and called Lara to check on the “dead Opposum” in our barn for babies (often in their pouch). It was not there when she arrived. Glad to say, I think it is fine. He/She is probably the bastard eating my veggie garden!!! 😡🫤😁

Dad calls and asks us if it is okay that a horse is in the backyard? Sweaty, stressed, and muddy, Cinder apparently had some reason to freak and jump the fence. The last time the horses did anything like that was when there was a bear bedding down next to the barn. A few hours later, our neighbor texts us a picture of bear s**t in her yard adjacent to the barn 😳
