Normally, I’m a big advocate for letting the garden rest through winter and waiting until spring to clean up. But when you’re gearing up for this year’s market garden and get a stretch of days like we’ve had the last couple of weeks… you take advantage.

Right now it’s mostly about adding materials back into the beds. Mulch generously provided by Wright Tree Service and leaves from Wray’s Lawn and Landscaping.

These free resources help with moisture retention, w**d suppression, and—over time—build a healthier soil biome, which means free fertilizer down the road. 👌🏼🌿

And as a bonus, the chickens are thrilled with all their new playground equipment. 😉🐔

🌱 Hello, friends — it’s been a while.

Last summer, our plan was to open the farmstand… but life had other plans. We welcomed a sweet new baby in August and chose to keep that season just for our family. The end of summer became a time for rest, preparation, and slowing down — and the garden took a pause alongside us.

We want you to know we’re still here. 💛
Rested, recovered, soaking up winter baby snuggles, and feeling ready to grow again.

As we step into a new year, we’re taking things slowly and intentionally — dreaming, planning, and letting this season be what it is. The farmstand will come in time, and we’re excited to ease into it when the moment feels right.

Thank you for your patience and for being here with us. Here’s to a gentle start to the year and all the good things ahead. 🌿
