Cuteness alert! 😍

Dr. Emily is fostering two eight week old collie puppies that are available for adoption at any time! As tempting as it is, she will not be keeping them and they need to go to fabulous homes. Brie is a blue merle headed white collie. She is the more mellow of the two, loves to cuddle and observe what's going on around her, although still finds time to wrestle her sister. Nina is a sable merle which means she will likely look like a lighter version of Lassie. Nina is more brave, exploring the house and wrestling with her foster brother. Both love toys and will be super fun, beautiful dogs! They are available for adoption through the Minnesota Wisconsin Collie Rescue. We are sad to say that we are losing one of our long-time veterinary technicians. After having her second baby this year, Caitlyn returned to work, but then made the difficult decision to put her career on hold and become a stay-at-home mom.

"Tiny Mouse", as she was often called, has been a valued member of our team, and will be missed by our whole staff. She may have been quiet at work, but she was a very hard worker with excellent patient care skills. We wish her and the boys all the best, and hope you will too. ❤️

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the hospital not a creature was stirring - we thought impossible! Stockings were hung on the Christmas tree with care in hopes that Santa paws soon would be there.

Our clinic has been certified an official “Santa’s E.L.V.E.S.” (Emergency Landing and Veterinary Expert System) location.

In the event that Santa’s reindeer team needs to make an unscheduled Christmas Eve stop for sled repairs, refueling, or veterinary care, staff at this clinic will be available to provide needed assistance and ensure a safe and on-time delivery of Santa’s cargo. 🎅🏼

On the days we are closed, the Animal Emergency Center of the Quad Cities will be open 24 hours for urgent care.

On Friday, Dr Jennifer and Dr Ann joined in an organizational meeting for the Advisory Council for North Scott High School's new veterinary assistant program. After a very nice presentation about the program and a discussion on how to support the program, we were given a tour of the new facility.

Wow! We are wishing that we could be back in high school to take advantage of all the amazing programs that are being developed there. Looking forward to helping train and advise new vet assistants starting in the new year. Thanks for the tour, Mr Hunter!

Due to the forecast for poor travel conditions tomorrow morning, and concerns for the safety of both our staff and our clients, our hospital will be CLOSED tomorrow - Saturday December 14th.

If you need to pick up medications or prescription food, please be sure to come in today before we close at 5:30pm.

The Animal Emergency Center of the Quad Cities will be open 24 hours tomorrow if you have an urgent pet situation. You can call them at 563-344-9599.

We had a special visitor today! Oakley stopped by to let us know that she had her final chemo treatment at Creekside Veterinary Hospital & Referral Center !!!!! We are so glad that she is in remission and feeling great again. It was a scary day 6 months ago when we diagnosed her lymphoma, but just look at her now! ❤️❤️

If you are out Black Friday shopping, consider stopping by our hospital for a cute handmade ceramic ornament or magnet. These are made here in Iowa by a friend of Dr Ann's. We also have pet bowls of all sizes that she makes as well.
