We want to let you know that we will be closed this year on Friday July 4th AND Saturday July 5th in observance of the holiday. Please plan ahead if you need any medications, prescription food, or proof of vaccination for boarding.

Our dear friends at the Animal Emergency Center of the Quad Cities will be available for treatment of emergencies over the weekend. Please remember they will likely be VERY busy and are there for emergencies only. If you go there for non-urgent care, you may be turned away or face a long wait while critical pets are tended to. We recommend calling them first at 563-344-9599.

The month is almost over, but we want to remind you that it's Adopt a Cat month. Dogs tend to get more of the attention when people talk about pet adoptions, but there are MANY cats out there in shelters who need homes. Please consider adding a feline friend to your family this month. 🐈‍⬛🐈

It's time to start planning ahead for the upcoming July 4th holiday weekend. If your pets are terrified by fireworks, please call us NOW to make a plan. Dont wait until July 3rd! There are many options to help pets - both medications and otherwise. We can help you make a plan for your pet(s).

Dr Ewoldt and Jessica examined an "exotic" animal this morning for a cute young lady, who was here with her grandma and dog for a health exam. As it turned out, Unicorn needed some attention as well, and we were happy to fit him into our schedule. Luckily, Unicorn was perfectly healthy and the young lady was relieved. Every day is a little different around here.... 🦄🌈
