Shorter haircuts are recommended for winter to avoid matting. Today, Lily received a shorter body and longer legs cut, accommodating her winter clothing. Friction from clothing often causes matting. Please consult with me to determine the ideal haircut for your lifestyle.

On social media you see many people bashing groomers for shaving their pets. I don't want to shave dogs from nose to tail. Trust me.
To avoid matting please
▪️stay on a 6 week or less schedule
▪️talk to your groomer about a haircut that fits your lifestyle
▪️brush daily
▪️comb daily
▪️avoid collars/harnesses or clothing that cause friction
As a groomer my job is to give your dog a safe and positive experience every 4-6 weeks. Reach out to a groomer if you are struggling to maintain your dogs coat.

From a local Vet....
This tick has been hanging around for us to show people for a while. After months in a sealed container with no additional feeding she laid eggs. This gives you an idea of how long a tick can be dormant and how many eggs one female can lay. Remember ticks bloom again in the fall so keep up with prevention.
